Hey Chappie -

The traits associated with the bright expression are evident in early veg in the scent of the stem. The same rosy, berry scent is evident in almost all the plants, the undertones are what set them apart. The keeper plants maintain a dry effervescence to the scent. Sweet but not syrupy. The plants with more musky undertones are prob not what you are looking for, but they still may be great plants in the end. The coloration should all be very similar, green with red stems and petioles, though as you watch them grow you'll see variations in the way some stems are streaked, and some only have red around the nodes.

I would like to see updates in this thread to make good comparisons and see how the plants grow in different environments, so please update here. But, if you want to start your own thread then please do... I just think it would be good to have as much info in one place as possible.

I'll take photos as soon as there is enough leaf to warrant it, but suffice to say I am extremely pleased with the germination rates and speeds. I believe all of the Brights have popped and most of the barras, thats after 5 days and I usually don't expect much til day 7-10 around here.

Some of the brights do have a reddish or purple cast to the cotyledons, while others are green.

I should probably number them and take notes on that kind of thing about now, eh?

just watch them grow, my friend! I knew they'd all come up for you I'm still trying to figure all that stuff out too, but the resin smell and the high are really what we have to wait for.

I'm getting one plant out of five females that seems to REALLY have the resin scent going on. Two others are close, and one is really tall and thickly stalked and doesn't seem to be as resinous yet. These are just the ones that are inside and really flowering. The plants outside are a whole other thing altogether, though some of them will be coming soon to flower.

Also, I just pollinated my big Hawaiian, which smells of insane tropical bubble gum crossed with some sweet spicy coconut rum drink (no bottom end either), with my reverse hermie flo male i think that the scents coming off the hybrids will be some of the most unbelievably sublime cannabis scents imaginable.

Also, I just pollinated my blueberry indica cutting with my barra male.... which will also go on to cross with my old school afghani...

There will some interesting seeds made this season

Now under T5s which they will enjoy until such time as they move under 1200w of HPS. I'm trying to map out what I want to do instead of the HPSes at some point. But for now, thats what they got. I might try putting some cuttings of them in the greenhouse, but not planning to put anything out til June this year.

Great thread so far man. Really enjoying all of the information.

Glad you're breeding this wonderful Flo phenotype. Maybe in the future we'll come to you when it has become extinct .
