HGO's Vertical Coco Run To Waste
Hi all, I've got a nice little grow underway now. It's 1800w drip fed coco run to waste. The room was stipped and rebuilt. Strains that I've got in there:
Cheese (Suicide Cut) KarmaTrain (Trainwreck x Buddhas sister) The White Giesel There was slight mix up between, The White and Giesel, not my first time growing out The White so I should be able to tell the difference when they are in flower. This vert runs like this, Floor Fan>Bulb>Extraction, that movement of air lets me get my hand as close as an inch with no problem. I have attached a screen to the floor fan this is not a scrog screen it's just there to, stop the plant's growing into the bulb, and to hold the main feed line. Here are some pics so you can see what I'm working with, these pics were taken a few weeks ago when the room was still under construction so please ignore the mess. It's looking MUCH better now. The plant's were just planted in them pics, they were shocked, small, and yellow. I was at the grow today and they are looking GREAT actually after looking at the pic's above I'm amazed at how much they have grown in such little time. Coco FTW! Any questions, shoot ![]() HGO

Thanks, mrbiggs. There was meant to be 18 plants, 6 per 600 but we only managed to get 15, 6 are cheese, 6 are KarmaTrain, and the remaining are The white and Giesel.
Coco drip fed is the shit, they are growing at a super rate, beats anything I've done in soil so far. I'm hitting them with 1.1 EC at the moment, tap water is 0.4EC and they are loving it. Some of the plants were very yellow and now they are all DEEP GREEN. I'm using Plant Magic nutes, Bush Dr thought I should give 'em a go and I'm glad he did cuz they are working magic, pun , so far. Actually it was Bush Dr that got me into coco.HGO

Hi HGO,
Sounds like things are starting to kick into high gear with the new vert grow. I can't wait to see some pics of the girls now that they have come back around and are taking off. You know I love the setup, this is the way I think I'm going to go with my first vert grow. Oh, and you're going to love growing in coco. ![]() Subbed in a nice comfy chair with my just cleaned bub for this one, going to be a fun ride.

Dutch Aln - Hey Dutch Aln, good to see ya around these part's. The fan's are 18" 3 speed and I think I got 'em for 40 each a few years ago from ebay. They really cool the bulb down and are essential for this setup.
ambertrich - Welcome to the show, bro' yeah I'll do my best this run, hopefully I'll have everything dialed next run. Defo give this a shot next round, it's simple but highly effective. What kind of a setup are you running at the moment man? As for the coco, well I'm addicted ![]() DHF - Welcome Fred, good to see ya, your knowledge is always appreciated. Weed doughnuts are a coming....pig's may not apply ![]() I just hope I can pull it off. It's Bush Dr's design, I'm just ripping ![]() Ok so time for some updates, I'm just back from the grow and everything is looking great. The plant's are getting 2 feeds a day now instead of 1 which I had them on up to this point. My tap water is running at around 0.4EC and I'm feeding at 1.1EC at the moment. The plant's that were yellow have gone DEEP GREEN, well most of 'em anyhow. I have bigger plant's in there that aren't as green but I don't want to up the EC any higher, that's the worst thing about a multi strain grow running from the one rez but what the hell they are looking great. I took a few more snaps of the room and plant's today for you all to check out. I put down plastic on the pods, the pod's are tilted towards the waste tray, which I must improve next time I'm up the waste catcher's are too small. If you look at this picture you can see where the water is diverted towards the waste rez thanks to 2 pieces of wood that direct the flow. Here is my filter setup, it's a 250mm extraction going out the window of this room, speed controlled. WIN ![]() The temps are running pretty consistent at 80 - 83 F during the day and 56 during light's out, I'd like it a bit warmer during light's out but they are growing nicely the way it is so I'm not going to bother adding a heater. Here's some pics so you can see how much they have grown in 2 weeks: 2 Weeks ago ......................Today In the first pic they were pretty crap looking, shocked, given wrong ph, and just hanging in there. Today they look like rockstars. I'll see how they are in a week, if they are where I want them to be then I'll put them into flower. I'm not topping this run, no need to. Here are 2 picture's of a cheese that is growing very nicely... It's hard to tell if they are smelling bad because the filter takes care of everything but rubbing the steam will get the aroma up in your face, mad strain. Here is a KarmaTrain that looks like it's stretching above all others, KT is a great strain, the best all rounder that I've ever grown actually... She really looks like she want more feed, I might start hand watering her at a higher EC, I'll try 1.4 tomorrow and see how she reacts. Here are a few more general room shot's for you all... Any question's, fire away. HGO

laylow - Hi, the plant's are actually in 6.5 Ltr pots, I'm feeding twice a day. They are going through 1 ltr per day. I plan to up this to 1.5 ltrs by the end of the week. Thanks bro, I'll keep this thread updated once a week at minimum.
Coco FTW!! ![]() ![]() HGO
