Me and my wife are looking to move to Oregon.What I was wondering is.....Does a caregiver also have to be a patient?I'm more of the gardener she's the one that needs the card.And even if I couldn't be her caregiver would I still be protected even if I was active in the gardening....and an occasional consumer?

In Oregon there are three designations, Patient, Grower and Care Giver. You could be both her Grower and Care Giver which allows you to grow at the address you designate for the grow and posses up to 24 ounces of medicine. It does not allow you to consume though as Grower or Care Giver. HTH

I'm the patient under OMMP. We made my wife the grower and care-giver so that she could legally transport medicine on her person.

Something like that.
