INCB Yearly Report is out

The International Narcotics Control Board launched their yearly report this week. Always an interesting read...For those who don't know, these are the guys who supply big pharma and control the entire international drug trade. Well, they control the legal production of narcotics, and then control the rules for what they consider illegal all based on the ancient UN treaties that all these countries signed. Some will say the USA DEA wears the pants and some say it is these guys. neither are our friend though!!!

Full report is here https://incb.org/incb/en/report_launch_2011.html

Here is my favorite quote so far!!!

Quote:
394. The Board notes the result of the referendum in
California, which rejected the “legalization” of
cannabis use in that state. That result represents a
recognition of the danger of cannabis abuse and an
affirmation of the international drug control
conventions. The Board also notes the statement of the
Government of the United States, confirming the
Board’s position that federal law supersedes state law
with regard to the obligations contained in the
international drug control conventions. The Board
notes that the Government of the United States will
continue to enforce federal law in that regard. The
cultivation of cannabis plants and the use of cannabis
for purposes other than scientific purposes are illegal
according to the federal law in the United States. The
Board welcomes the statement of the Government of
the United States that it firmly opposes the legalization
of cannabis.
395. The Board is deeply concerned about “medical”
cannabis schemes, which so far have been introduced
in 14 states in the United States. The control measures
applied in those states to the cultivation of cannabis
plants and the production, distribution and use of
cannabis fall short of the control requirements of the
1961 Convention.

I'm surprised more people don't keep an eye out for this each year. Another big thing this group always pushes is how some countries are not using enough opiates. It is all very telling and give a real clear picture of what smaller governments are up against. I lean toward the belief that the US is probably the only country singularly, that could disrupt this treaty. I'm sure if we ever see any form of federal legalization they will wave this treaty in our faces screaming "our hands are tied" before they give in.

There you have it as predicted prior to, and after the failed vote of prop.19

Exactly how they took the vote, California did not want Cannabis legal. Enough said.
