Excellent stuff!!
It's legally possible for him to stand in the north simultaneously - why not? I'd vote for him.

Given that he's an independant, I dont think thats possible with the way the Irish voting system works.
Which is dumb imo, if you like a candidate from another county/ area you should be able to vote for them.
