Talking yellowing Small growth in EZ at 2 weeks

hey guys,

been running the ez-clone for about 6 weeks now, its put out a few round of clones for me. Im having success establishing roots but has some questions for people that have mastered theres. At about 2 weeks, im finding small growth is going slightly yelloe. Larger leaves hold there colour fine, but i feel like the small growth yellowing really makes the struggle to continue to grow. I am wondering if there is something specific anyone does in order to keep there clones healthy sitting in the EZ and have them establish nice long roots floating in the water. Iv had clones root out to about 1 inch nubs but never the long nice floating roots i see in threads and videos. i recently added a small amount of EWC tea to the machine hoping it will help now that they have established a small root system. They have about 3-4 mm nubs at this point.

Thank guys, any suggestions from satisfies EZ-clone operators is appreciated.

Puff on guys.

two things come to mind, and these are just guesses.

Low air temps?

Light to close?

Lights about 8-12 inches back, 2 cool white fluros.

Low temps could be an issue into the nights, interesting to know that could be an issue. would entering into the mid - high 60's into the night be considered low or the ez? during the day its about solid 75 but with the flower light off at night time it does get cooler. Could put a small space heater on timer if you think that may help.

Thanks pure knowledge.

Anyone esle?

Here is a link to post #7 from "The Complete guide to Sick Plants,pH, and Pest troubles!", which is stickied at the top of the infirmary. This post shows a good example of what cold night temps can do, especially when there are warm days.

i run the 60 site ez cloner. i use tap water that i bubble air threw the nite before i put it in the cloner. i use clone x at half strength with roots excelurator at 1ml per gallon then i ph it to around 6.0. i have nice long roots in around 8 days.

these are at around 8 days in the cloner.

my temps go all the way up to 82 during the day and sometimes as low as 65 during the nights. i try to keep it around 72 if i can, i also run it on a timer 15 minutes on 15 off.

My experience is that seedlings/clones like a low pH, say 6.0, even in soil/soilless mix.

2) Lack of Phosphorus

There is purpling on the stems, which indicates the plant is struggling to find P for it's developing root system. Some bonemeal or feeding with high P bloom fert should help.

3) Lack of water

Dry soil can also make nutrients unavailable to the plant.
