MH Light for Veg question....

...I have definitly decided to go with a MH light for my veg room.Just remeasured the space and the exact specs are:

5' x 6' wide;and 6' in height

I will have 2 x 1000 watters hps going in my flower room.

My question has to do with what mh bulb to go with for the veg room.Would love to just throw caution to the wind and go with a 1000 watt, but my concerns there are:

a)could it be overkill for that size space?

b)that would mean I would have 3 x 1000 watters going and I wonder if that would raise my electric bill too much?

c)possibility of heat issues

I am sort of leaning towards a 600 watt as a happy medium, but would appreciate hearing from anyone,as I am just started out and can use any and all advice.

Thanks!

a)could it be overkill for that size space?

no that area is fine for a single 1000
if it were me i'd go verticle with a parabolic type reflector and seperate venting but i'm sure many others would prefer horizontal with built in vents
checkout the specs on the solarmax 7200k veg bulb or the hortilux BLUE

b)that would mean I would have 3 x 1000 watters going and I wonder if that would raise my electric bill too much?

1 would run 18/6 20/4 24/7 or whatever
and the other 2 are only on 12/12 so your fine there

c)possibility of heat issues

see above

I am sort of leaning towards a 600 watt as a happy medium,

600 is a good bulb but i believe it is hps only

I use a 1000 mh in the same size space and I love it. I use aircooled hoods and eco 440 cfm inlines they work like a champ. I grow big plants so I need the penatration for full development in order to make things efficent. I would use a 400 if I grew smaller plants as they work pretty good for veg.

I use a agrosun gold 1000 MH and you wont do much better than that, you can veg a lot of plants pretty large if thats your intention. If you're considering a 600W like you said I believe thats only HPS and you'll be a lot better off with a 1K fixture,I love it.
