I have a question in regards to my lighting I have 3 1k HPS in my room. The room size is approx. 6feet wide by 9 feet long. I am now vegging my plants but my question: can I set up each light to run 8 hours shut off then the middle one runs for 8 hours shuts off then the end lamp comes on for 8 hours shuts off. So it runs down the line so I don't need to have all three running 24 hours or even 18 a day. This way I could only be using 1 1k light at a time.

In the flowering stage I will be running all 3 at one time for 12 hours a day

yeah you can do this naacp but why not just group all plants together if this is possible and run one 1kw over em for 18 instead of the on off cycle. and ur idea is kinda like a light rail without the rail. give it a try and see what happens. i've never done it but it's not gonna hurt ur plants especially in the dimensions of the room ur working with. let us know what you do and how it sorts out.

I can't get them close enough together. I'm running an ebb&flow bucket system, so the plants are spaced out covering almost the whole room. I have 24 buckets. I was thinking the same thing about the light rail. I think I'm going to try it and see what happens.

yeah give it a go mate. i thought about it again and it's almost exactly like a light rail!! give us some i candy and kick out a thread for us. take it easy. somoz

I plan on it. I would love to show off my grow. I don't have the balls to let anyone else see it that I know, I would rather hide behind a computer. I need to get my memory card for my cam from my wifes sister and I will post away. Thanks Somoz much love

Thats an awful slow light rail lol,even if you could group them under two lights and just use those I believe you'd be better off than using the three lights.A lot of your plants will be getting indirect light a lot of the time,you dont want that

With 24 buckets I would suggest at least 2 lights at a time in veg.ight rails are the bomb and I highly suggest them but man 3000 watts is going to make some fine buds when it's all said and done. NAACP I showed ya what 1000 watts can do now blow us all away with 3000. Good Luck,and pm me when ya need me again.
