Thanx for the input "B. Self Reliant" it is very nice that people share they thoughts. . . And to "Krull" i have to say that i have read that many people have been growing these strains in Sweden with success ! But i want people that have been growing these FMS strains to share their experience with me. . . And i have to add that since i moved up here to mid Sweden i am a little nervous on everything to succeed. . . But i really hope that the FMS strains should begin to flower at the end of July here or at least at the first days of August. And i have Danish strains also that i have high hopes for to finnish properly(and a couple of AF´s too). But keep on telling what your experiences are with these strains, it might help some other growers if they have any questions. . .

You may have seen this already, but figured I'd throw up a link. Two thirds of the way through the first post there are (2) reports on Maroc. One grower harvested late August & one harvested late September. The one who finished earlier said he had buds by mid-July! That's impressive.

I grew autoflowering strains outdoors last year for the first time. I wanted to give them a go in my short growing season so I could maybe have a small harvest mid-season. I personally won't be growing them again. I found there to be too many disadvantages to them. Having to always start from seed, low yield, relatively poor potency, extremely small plants, inconsistent plant structure due to not using clones, etc. . . all were things that eventually steered my back to keeping a traditional mom plant. I don't want to lump all AF strains together, but it seems to be a general pattern I've seen.

Last year I had a couple phenos from seed (non-AF's) that didn't finish on time. They were pulled around October 3 or so, which is very late for my area. They could have used a couple more weeks but all my other gals were coming in & it was freezing every night, so I harvested them anyways. The bud that was harvested before it was finished was of a much better quality than both the AF strains that grew without any problems whatsoever.

As a result, I've switched things up. This year I plan to put out my normal strains (LA Confidential, Early Girl & Maroc), but then also put out a batch of late season clones as a small & discrete second harvest. These mini plants should go in around around July 1 and will therefor get a full 30 days less veg than my full-size garden.. These should have many of the advantages of the smaller AF strains, but with the potency, convenience & consistency of a standard strain.

Thanx again for your input "B. Self Reliant" ! Yes i have been reading that thread on outdoor strains but thanx anyway man. . . And i wishing you good luck also with your growing. I was today on one of my spot´s and inspecting but due to the snow that are beginnig to melt away it was very water damaged(almost a little lake), but it has some raised beds that i am gonna use so i felt confident with that spot. Early girl is that Nirvana´s old strain ? But as i said before, keep on giving info here about these strains mentioned. . .

I'm glad you've seen that thread. It's very helpful, the only problem is that it clearly shows how limited we are in our colder climates! I don't want to say it's discouraging, but I'd love to have the options that warm-weather growers have. . .

Early Girl is a Sensi Seeds strain. It's another contender for your environment that you might want to look into. Since we're in another vendor's forum, that's all I'll say.

Good luck with your flooded plot. . . mine is the same way right now but things will improve before us cold-weather growers can put out plants out anyways.

Thanx mate. Yes we have some obstacles to overcome in colder climates and one of my bigger ones is that i need strains that can flower with very few dark hours because of the very bright summer we have here in Sweden. And my plot seem very much dryer today so i will soon begin to haul some cowdung and perlite to this spot. I dont know if Early Girl would work here because of the dark hours it needs and my hope this year is Danish strains i hope will make my day(or harvest) and some AF´s from a another seed company. And of course the strains that i ordered from Female seeds i also have high hopes for.

I have same question. so i pop1 purple maroc few month ago to clone her. she was more sensitive than others , but finally i have cuts. but cuts, that were earlier start to flower (before mid may) and cuts that have been more time under low light start to flower. so i recomend you to have good conditions to clone mothers and then, after she will make roots, you take her into 16h period - you can use outdoor sun plus few hours some 200w CFL. 16h is period of now here. Ive practically repot them month ago (15h intensive light), PM1 cuts taked it, PM2 pregrowed seed (under 18/6) not

PM2 seems to start flowering even if now are the longiest days in year , PM1 is in grow phase : )

they are sensitive and you must copy that outdoor period and you have very good chance to make clones.
I also recomend you some training for that sativas ,)

another PM1 cut
