Is this light bleaching or something else?
I have two Black Dominas that are 5-6 weeks old, 3 days into 12/12. The bottom 90% of the plants are nice and green, but the tops are a much lighter yellow green where the new growth is. This doesn't seem to fit any deficiency description that I've read, and the only thing I can think of is light bleaching from being too close to the 1000W HPS. Temps are fine, never above 79 degrees F. Any thoughts or help is much appreciated.

Those are definitely not light burn.
Check out MynameStitch's guide to sick plants: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688 It could be sulfur deficiency which could be resolved with Epsom salt. |

I have seen this before. It could be just that the plants are in great growing conditions and are getting a lot of light. If this is what it is then it is that the plants are growing very fast and the newest shoots just have not had time to absrobe enought N to green up yet. If this is what it is, then the shoot as they grow should geen up. Try a foilage spray of some watered downed food, with 1 tsp of epsoms salt/ liter and see if it help. If it does, then maybe you can up the food concenteration but only try if on a few plants at 1st.
I hope this helps. |

Could be just the less light for these first few days of 12/12. Mine do that a little too. Give it a few more days to see if it improves along the way.

hey dude,
ive had this happen a few times when i switch to 12/12. i call it light shock when you go from 18/6 to 12/12. they say its best to reduce the time of light slowly but who has time to waste. i wish i would have taking pics to show you. but there is no need to worry they will adjust and the light green will go away and youll see buds start to form in those spots 2 to 3 weeks .... good luck

Thanks for saving me a post DrKatz420,
Exact same thing just happened to my plants, I started flowering 3 days ago. Plants are a healthy dark green but all new growth is lighter. You just took a load off my back. I thought maybe I had a fert deficiancy. Thanks Guys
