Gerry Adams - SF - Would not legalise cannabis but open to its medical use. Eamonn Gilmore - Lab - Would not legalise cannabis. John Gormley - Green - No legalisation but doesn't think people should be criminalised for small amounts. Enda Kenny - FG - Short and sweet answer being no. Sad reallity is that as a country we have more pressing matters at hand than legalisation/decriminalisation.
Just like every election you have candidates from all the main parties that are "open to the idea" of MMJ but when push comes to shove your not gonna see them standing up in the Dail fighting for it. It's time we started pressuring the local independants on legalisation not these parasites in the mainstream parties. |
