The title pretty much says it all & i posted the question in another thread. I think its a great idea & potentially everyone's a winner, cause money goes to the server fund too!

heres what i said in my other post: 'I Have a Dream'

ICMag should run a competition or Lotto of sorts!

£1 entry fee, winners get Judges passes to the IC420 & Cash towards their flights &* Hotel fees, maybe a bit of spending money! Could have 1st,2nd,3rd & more placed prizes, packs of seeds etc etc.
(Id even go as far as a £5 entry fee personally, but even £2 would be cool by me, maybe make it £1 a ticket with a maximum of 5 tickets per person)

Considering there are in the region of 150,000 or so members the last i looked, im sure a small entry fee, Lotto styley!, would cover Admin fee's to set it all up, the rest could go to the Server Fund & help pay for the Trophey's/Cups, Bands & stuff for the after party's etc. Thats just the tip of the IceBerg!
This would help pay for better venue's, Dj's etc, the possibilities are major!

Why Not ah Lad & Gals! I hope Gypsy likes the idea. We are all ICMag family after all.

btw, my idea has nothing to do with the fact im getting itchy about wanting to go because im completely on my arse skint, oh-no lol, but this would at least give skint people like me a chance of going this year! I really hope something like this comes off!)-at least put it to the community Vote!

(to the people who have already paid to go, remember it may be your as skint as me next year & 'It Could Be You' that wins next year!-maybe it could be stipulated in the competition rules that if you have already bought judges passes, then you get a cash prize, its all the same imo!)

Hope you give the idea your grace Gypsy, i think it benefits everyone! i thought my idea was worth staring a thread about, & maybe put it to the vote of the communtiy, feedback could help dictate if it was worth running such a competition.

LOL i just had visions of the FA Cup Draw with the box's/bags n balls to choose the winners, with Admin/or the Powers that be doing the draw in masks/Barraclavas lol!(Showing it on IC lol)

Its gotta be a winner, especially as it benefits the IC420, the Server Fund & a few lucky assed ICMaggers who happen to be lucky enough to win!

I wouldnt care if i didnt win but id be real happy i helped start the Idea! & at least everyone has a chance, more than i have right now!

I think its at least worth asking the community to vote!

Hey Jah Bro,
Yeah i suppose your right but as its only an idea, albeit one that benefits eveyone, cause of the server fund interest anyway. I thought it would be harmless, not breaking any TOU that i can think of as its ICmag & promoting not only the Cup but the site aswell. Everyone's a winner imo!

As you could prolly tell, im pretty desperate, out of work for the time being, no income, if i dont come up with work soon i wont be able to attend, this just gives the many that are in a similar financial position a chance of winning the trip & its benefits everyone at the same time. With all the haters, trolls & arseholes about, the idea cheers me up too, no-end!, its just a bit of harmless fun bro, again heres hoping!

i agree . i would put a cpl of packs of seeds in for the fund . to put towards the cost of the prizes ....
your looking at around £500 for flights and a cheap flea pit hotel for 3 night and spending money for food and some drinks .

Just hope Gypsy see's the potential & together the community can make it happen, even if it has to go Underground to PM, why not, what they dont know doesnt hurt them, as they say lol!!

I better PM the Gypsy myself too ah! Hope he agrees with what ive said & gives us the opportunity to do it, be it Underground or not! I see no reason for not doing it! Server benefits we benefit!
