Lavender pheno's! - Soma Seeds - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

When growing out lavender how many different pheno's are their? Which pheno is the best? I've read a bunch about people complaining about their end result with this strain because it looked nothing like the picture in the breeders description. Is their only one good pheno in this strain? How hard is it to find that pheno in the breeders description of the strain? I don't really mind if the plant is very colorful or not, I just like the funky taste, and the high that I get off of it. The only lavender I've smoked came from a med dispensary in nor cal. I'm pretty sure it's soma's lavender because the buds looked almost exactly alike from what I've seen on the net. Now if infact I didn't recieve that desired pictured pheno will the buds still taste the same and have the same great buzz as the pictured pheno? If anyone has dried bud pictures, or even live plant pictures of soma's lavender I'd love to see them. This strain worked great for my insomnia I just don't want to buy the beans and have somthing totally different pop up ya know!

Hiya,
Heres some Beautiful Lavendar.
The seeds were of a good size & the germ rate was 4 from 5.
I was satisfied with all as it was like the pic on the box.
Both females were also both very similar.
I had to give it a go, Purple leaves an all!
Sorry to say though it was not to my taste preference &
had a headache after a good few Jays.
I must admit it is difficult for I to find a Potent non headache inducing purple variety but this is the Best of the Purps I have tried so far.

Jan 06 oldpink gave me a single ,yes one,Soma Lavender seed, i put it away and germinated it when i arrived home from the dam. It was female, probably feminised and grew very well. I made a mom after she sexed under 18/6 and took cuttings. They rooted slowly and were not very happy. After vegging for a few weeks they were flowered and small white buds were formed after a few more weeks. The clones did not impress so the mother was promply flowered....well since then i have come to see how beautiful this plant can be if vegged well and flowered large. These are pics of the mom at 43 days flower time.

It's too bad Soma doesnt come on and respond...HOWEVER he's not "due" to post till mid/end of august.

SO, at least a fat green indica pheno, a fat purple pheno (which I haven't found yet) and a lanky green pheno.

It all tastes great tho.
