i can only get bone meal, or a pack with bone + blood and fish all in it, what will i do ?

Blood meal is OFF the shelves around here too. Maybe it's a Mad Cow thing. There are alternatives. What were you using it for?

i just got yesterday, two bags 1 of Bone Meal, 1 of Blood Meal, @ Home Depot, in s, fl..both was $3.95 each...

You can get them both at Lowes, Kmart, Walmart and all of the nurseries and garden stores.

dude, you don't need bone meal in your potting mix,
just some perlite and some potting mix, just feed
them some good stuff. Don't worry about it.

Well I didn't think you were using it as a sex toy PED. What do you want your mix to "Gain" from the use of Blood Meal? There are alternatives. Take precautions when working with Animal based amendments. They harbor nasties that can be inhaled or absorbed through your skin and eyes.

Soma and I still use blood meal however. He uses it to reclaim used soil by adding bone and blood meal as do I with new potting soil and then I add guano teas in my organic feeds. It's easy to find and little risk but some don't eat beef or use organically animal based feeds. I do however and it certainly is fine to do so as the nitrogen cycle is based on the balance of the animal world and the plant world. BOG
