LemonChunk Grow from Clone

I started a LemonChunk grow a few months ago from seed, ending up with 6 females, and 4 males. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to flower any of the females to the point of actually harvesting anything. They suffered a very tortured life where many things went wrong, problems corrected, only to have something else strike. The final nail in the coffin was a ph over 7.5 causing a very bad iron deficiency. I was able to root some cuttings from 2 or 3 ladies and culled the seed plants.

As of now, one clone has just been placed into flower along side some Mr. Nice Shits, and DNA Rocklock. The remaining 3 clones are still being vegged under 6 54w T5HO GE Starcoat 6500k bulbs using a Quantum Badboy Reflector.

Ill provide some pics of the seed plants at a later date, but for now, Ill post pics of the current clones.

Ive got some pics from the 4th, and some taken today.

The first couple are from the clone's second day in flowering. Her newer foliage had a lime green/yellow color, but she's improved alot since then. I transplanted her into her 3 gallon bag the day I put her into flowering. Not quite sure what was the cause of the yellowing. My ph pen busted, so I can't test it atm, but Ill be getting a new one within a week. Ill be doing weekly ph and ec checks of the media to ensure proper levels are being maintained. Being lazy and not checking leads to alot of plant problems that could be prevented. Maybe Ill be able to take this lady to term and keep her beautiful.

Its been awhile since Ive updated. I can't believe its been this long.

All the previous ladies I put into flower are showing severe nutrient deficiency. I believe it to be a micronutrient def as the PH drifted upwards to over 7. The highest was 7.27, and lowest was 7.02 on the 28th of February.

I began to acidify my water as low as 5.15 using Citric Acid. I also started to use 100% Urea Miracle Gro fert to help acidify the soil. I should have gotten an Ammonium based fertilizer instead, but this will work. Its just a bit slower to work as there is a temporary increase in PH while Urea is converted to Ammonium before nitrification of ammonium can occur, which will finally help lower the PH.

On March 6th the highest was 6.94 and lowest was 6.54. We can see that its obviously working at this point. Ive still got a-ways to go though. Im trying to get to 6.0. Ill do another check of the plants in 4 days.

Once I get to the desired PH range, I will begin using a 17-5-17 Neutral PH fertlizer formula that will work well with my waters 86 ppm alkalinity to maintain a neutral PH.

I also believe part of my nutrient deficiency problems are due to underfeeding. Since I have begun doing ec measurements every 7 days, I see that they are using .10 ms/cm per day in the first few weeks. They quickly can drop below the 1.00 range where fertility is considered low. Low ec levels and high ph=Big problems.

My Res is reading 1.15 atm. Hopefully the EC level in the media will remain stable now.

Anyways. Enough rambling. Time for some pics of some ugly plants, and one healthy sleepy one, who was just placed into flowering tonight.

The first plant under the Deficiency pics is 32 days into flower. Yield will be significantly impacted, as will all no doubt. The other three have been flowering for around 26 days or so.

Ill move my last clone into flowering in perhaps a day or 5. Not sure. Trying to let it get a nice canopy of about 7 colas, but they veg so damned slow its just not worth the extra veg time it seems. My Mr. Nice shit have all surpassed them in terms of growth and vigor, and they were cuttings taken at least two weeks after the LemonChunks. A big thumbs down with regards to DC. This will be the last time I grow anything with Deep Chunk in it.

If anyone wants to check out my Shits, go to Shantis forums and look for Shits stains in my underwear.

As usual with my grows something always goes wrong. The two most recent clones to go into the flowering tent are suffering from a micronutrient deficiency. They've both been in there for 19 or 20 days, and neither one is really flowering. Im at a loss to know what is causing it. Its preventing any new type of growth, which has lead the EC levels in the soil to rise from 1.58 ms/cm to 3.27 over the last 9 days. The other plant has seen EC levels go from 1.48 to 2.85. Ph for both atm is 6.56 and 6.48.

There was about a 7-10 day period where they were not getting any micros, but have been on them for 10+ days now. The problem doesn't seem to be getting much worse, but not better either. IME, micronutrient deficiencies take along time to recover from. I hope in the next 7 days things will get better, but the rising EC levels could become a problem.

Ill keep them off the blumats for now, and hand water with w/o any fertilizer added. Maybe we'll see an improvement soon. If they do pictures to come later on, if not Ill axe them in a couple of weeks.

The flowering clones are about 40 days in. Fan leaves are shot, and buds are small. They wont get too much larger at this point. Very sticky, and frosty though. Very nice resin development under the scope. Better than most of my Mr. Nice Shits. I can't quite describe the smell at this point. Maybe later.

Thats about it for now.

Thanks, the grow ended awhile back, but I failed to do any updates.

My ladies all suffered a tough life in veg and flower. Lost all my fan leaves from a severe nutrient deficiency in flower. Cal/Mag was leading to lockout issues.

The ladies still finished up around day 65 or so. I failed to get pics of the nugs :(. Sorry guys. They did look nice. Nicely dense nugs covered in frost, but when I examined with a scope I wasn't to impressed. Too many stalks without heads attached for my taste, but still great bag appeal. The buds had a nice purple hue to them. Im sure they would turn more purple if temps were lowered during late flowering.

I much enjoyed the smell of this cross over the C99 cross. The Deep Chunk dominated in the C99 cross when it came to smell, and I didn't like it at all. The lemongrass ladies did have a mild lemon smell to them, but not a strong lemon scent.

Potency was a bit better as well. Not by leaps and bounds, but I would choose the LemonGrass over the C99 cross all day.

Thats about all I can think of atm. If anyone has any questions, I will try to answer to the best of my ability.
