Oh yeah, and don't worry about "hijacking" the thread... its for everyone. I probalby won't be running 8M again for a long time. I'll check in to see what others are up to with it, on occasion.

Hi everyone,

I have grown 8MH about one year ago and it was a killer strain, my favorite! That time I had some hybrid pheno that were aprox 1m tall (6w veg).

I decided to another 8mh grow and have noticed tht I have 2 diffrent phenos. 3 of the plants have the Indica pheno and are about 80cm tall very tight! And I got my self one Sativa pheno that's 160(!)cm tall, all of them had 5-6w veg! I have now been flowering them for about 7 weeks (49 days) and the indicas are coated in resin and the nugs are rock hard!
But the Sativa pheno seem to be a little bit slower in flowering, the nugs are still airy, and are far less coated in resin! Do anybody have an aproximation in how long the Sativa pheno should be in 12/12, I don't think 60-65 days as Mandala says is enough for this pheno!?!?

Regards

The sativa pheno sounds like a good one! I'd let it go as long as it wants to. It might also be one that comes in waves. Some areas might be ripe while other branches are putting out new pistils still. I don't believe that 8M will have clearly-defined phenos with obvious answers as to how long they should go. You will probably find a number of possible plants along a gradient. I didn't see a lot of variety with mine but one was a clear winner in terms of the high. This wasn't clear until well after harvest and via smoke testing, as the best plant was not the most resinous or aromatic. I would really keep my eye on that "sativa" one!

Also try to keep your buds seperate so you can decide which one you like the best (and hopefully you kept clones).

ROOTZ will become famous soon enough
Greetings chappie & all,

Just wanted to update this 8MH thread by throwing out a pic of my ladies. Not much excitement, as they're only @ day 9 of 12/12.

I transplanted the clones when they were about 5-6" and they're now between 8-9". I'm growing in straight coco and feeding them only Maxibloom at Mandala's recommended 1.2 EC. They also have gotten 2 foliar feeds of Maxicrop w/iron, one of which I just finished prior to snapping this shot.

Well, as I said not much excitement but I'll definitely post an update or 2 as the grow progresses.

Enjoy

Hi chappie, how was the smell on that 8MH? Was it grassy-minty-strawberry smell? I liked 8 MH, it's great for outdoors too
good luck!

bozga, I've also grown some 8MH, and the indica pheno smelled like strawberry while the sativa pheno had some really nice pine smell...

My first round of 8M smelled pretty good - I would say moderately strong during growth. Can't quite say it was "strawberry" but it had something fruity and sweet going on. Very pleasant. However, I was no able to maintain much of this aroma in cure. It was there, jsut in very subtle levels.

Outdoors, the plant was almost scentless other than general cannabis smell, and the buds have a nice, sweet taste but no scents or flavors really jump out. This has been the same with repeated indoor runs. I gave up on this strain because the taste was too bland for me.

Such good effects though - I usually mix a bud with something tastier for some syngery.

Looking good! I'm going to have to live vicariously through your 8MH grow since mine turned out to be all males :(

I just planted out a few 8MH. disappointing to read about the lack of taste, and possible mold. I guess I will find out how they work here. looking good so far. I'll try to add some pics to this thread along the way
