tony - it might just be my pack. others have said they are very fragrant. I enjoyed their aroma a great deal during flower but it was weak nonetheless and almost totally gone after a cure. I still strongly recommend this strain because its effects are killer - its almost custom-tailored to my needs: euphoric, mellow, and psychedelic.

Chappie - I'm very intrigued by your descriptions of 8m's high. I'm at 43N, outdoors. I'm hoping they'll finish here by the end of the 1st week of Oct, but in any case I'll be pollinating both Flo and SWT#4 with a couple of good 8m males.

Is there an appreciable difference between 8m and Mandala#1's effects? I'm wondering if the only difference between the two is the inclusion of the NZ indica in M-1??

Not trying to be contrary, but I hope they DON'T rework it for more smell. Some of out here actually want plants that are low odor for security purposes. The lack of smell in your description makes me WANT TO BUY Mandela!

Glad to here the high is great. Always wondered.

Campfire I'm at 44 or so and 8M just barely finished for me in a greenhouse. It molded horribly but I still got a large stash of it. Not quite as ripe as I wanted but it did ok. I would prune it heavily next time - cutting out all interior branches and 80% of the fan leaf (not kidding). I am not sure it will be totally ripe by Oct 1 for you but it should be mostly there. My "underripe" outdoor plants are almost as good as the indoor ones, though they certainly don't look as good.

I do like its effects much more than M#1. They are both great strains chemically speaking but 8M surpasses most strains from other breeders too in my book. I might have just hit the jackpot pheno-wise but I am totally enamoured of its effects. M#1 is "good" but not at all on the same level as far as I am concerned.

Crossing with Flo and Sweet tooth both sound very very interesting and I encourage it! Be sure to let us know how it goes.

Will do, with snapshots. Just out of curiosity, what's your favorite strain (quality of high the priority) that finishes for you by, more or less, the 1st week of Oct?

Campfire - I have only tried outdoors in my location 2 years so I am no expert at all. Of my 6 plants last year, Point of No Return did the best - almost no mold and was very nicely finished though spindly compared to my indoor since the fall light is so dim in the PacNW. 2nd was Female Seeds' Northern Light - again almost no mold, but its not all that great of a strain. Kalichakra and 8 Miles both molded badly and just barely finished, and Sweet Tooth was almost a disaster but the 25% that didn't mold was amazing. Krystalica hermied and was culled.

I am interested in Erdbeer x Purpurea though I haven't tried it. This year I am going to see if DJ Short's Flo will finish with a little pampering.

Mandala claims M#1 is their fastest outdoors but I am reluctant to try it outdoors after reading some reports that its not so great outdoors anyway.
