Growtents
Hi,
Im looking into buying a growtent, prob around 1-1.2M L x B. So far I have options of: Homebox (Eastside impex) or Dark Street Ds120 MK2 Anyone have any experience with any of these? Know any growtents I should stay away from? Know any that are tried and trusted? |

have used homebox before. They're pretty good, watch the flaps on the front of the tent, not the best stitching holding them. Also the zippers after a while will start to unravel (again the stitching). They come in a variety of sizes
As moppel mentioned secret jardin are a good bet, and come in a variety of sizes The best i've personally used have been budbox. More solid construction than most, you can also get some attachments for em like drying racks etc (or should i say draying rack - singular), i wouldnt waste yer money. They also come in a variety of sizes, and have extra room for ducting on the sides so air cooled lighting can be more easily implemented (which velcro closed if you dont use air cooled lights) Never used dark street Most brands are gonna be fine. If you go for 1 of the cheaper alternatives dont horse the thing around too much as the cheaper construction will wear and tear and you want this thing for a while. Try and get a tent that has some structural roof support, your gonna want to hang a light, carbon filter and extractor fan (possibly an oscillating fan also) from that thing. I also strung up heavy leaning plants to the roof. Make sure that it can support these weights, you dont want that equipment crashing down on the plants. Would ruin yer grow, n possible fire hazzard Aside from all that though, unless you have to move a grow between rooms or houses, building your own construction is the cheapest and best option. You build it to exactly your specs, its cheaper, and much more stable (provided your any good at diy) Best of luck with the purchase m8 |

Easy there Hell9, i got a secret jardin tent, 1.2 x 2.4 x 2m. Really well made tents apart from a couple light leaks on zip area and pin pricks of light through the actual walls of tent. Not sure bout other tents(whether you get the same issues) but about 15 mins with a roll of decent duct tape its all sorted and your ready to go. Hope this helps.
Peace out......

well moff99 i ended up getting the same tent as yourself, same size at least... theres a DS and a DR120, I got the DS120. It doesnt have a second exchaust outlet in the tent but i find the the DS to be fine for my needs, with 5" cooltube, carbon filter and RVK. Works like a charm - when zipped up the tent sucks in like a vaccum so the air intake is purely passive but works well cuz it's airtight. Love it. Cool as a breeze with a 600w.
Overal the Secret Jardin tents are well made, well spec'd, hardy grow tents. Would recommend SJ to anyone looking for any sort of tent. |

Ya i have a Secret Jardin DR150 MK11. Its the job. As m0ff99 said the only bit of light leakage is where the zips meet. Just have the zips near the ground and its fine.
There really well made and can be but up in about 15min......even less to take down. Which i found out the hard way unfortunately. Worth the money though, well once you buy it from england.
