GN Collection Mikado 99 with johnny butt - General Test Grows - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Just about ready to get this one off the ground. Popping these beans tonight!

Thanks for the chance to grow out this great variety GN and all the folks over at seedbay. I had joy of growing out this same cross as done by verite when it was called the holy grail, and loved the strain very much. A fruity, candy taste, with large beautiful buds. Truly a favorite until I lost her. So a very special thanks for getting to try to find another winner in this pack.

I expect a quick flowering, tasty candy plant with some great yield. I'm looking for a real nice pheno to populate my outdoor grows this year. For the search, I'll be doing hempy style buckets under 650 watts in a narrow space little space I'm working on...

Hi johnny , had good results from the holy grail last year , interested to see how these compare.
The one i kept in the loop has a very high bud to leaf ratio and is a real producer in small or height restricted grows , 50 - 55 days flower after a fast veg , its a mould magnet in the last two weeks unfortunately, would not survive the UK outdoors unless protected or forced.

Good info on the mik99... I remember the big buds with a great calyx to leaf ratio. Didn't have any mold problems, but I never ran her outside, so we will have to do some experimentation.

I was still using cfls last time I grew the holy grail, and I remember her stacking some serious buddage with tiny little 23w lights. I can't wait to see them shine under some HPS, even in my narrow little space...

We will definitely have some ladies to watch though...

10/10 germ in less than 24 hours, betting these little buggers will be vigorous

Here's all the seeders, up and growing... Ended up with 9 mik99 plants, all above soil. Should find a nice lady in there. Very vigorous, and went from ungerminated seed, to above the soil and growing in just over 36 hrs. Spunky little things...

Here's a group shot of the mik99 along with some magenta99 from DGS and some clones I have rooting.... Casey jones, killer chem, and my own pollen chuck...

For any of those who have seen my other threads, I like my vertical bulbs... But now I have this new room, with a mere 2' of width, and have changed it up. Should be a fun learning experience....

About to get up and going here. I'll remove the CFLs and get them under the 400w and 250w HPS here in the next week.

Was looking at the Mikado99 on the Xmas specials, wish I had picked up a pack.

How big is your long, shallow space?

Looks like the 650W HID will rock your garden, no doubt.

Tried finding the GN collection but couldn't. The holy grail uses the same two strains and sparked my original interest in GN's Mikado99...

My space is long, fairly tall, and narrow...

Something like 9' (L) x 2' (W) x 7.5' (H). I've spaced the lights out where I think I can fit the 650 watts nice and also have a little veg section for keeping my mamas. It'll be crowded though...

AHH! Had my strip of cfl lights drop a few inches and lost a few of the plants. Ended up burning them completely while I was at work...

Still have 5 going...

Two taller ones, and two shorter ones. One self topped after it shot out a single leaf. It's growing fine now though, just stunted a bit.

Pretty excited, and have secured my lights a bit more .... securely.
