Whats the best internet radio tuner ,similar to real radio?

I have some questions for any computer saavy people.I just got DSL and i find out today that the RealRadio tuner no longer is in service.

I want live dj brodcasts ,and music stations from around the globe. Can anyone recommend what people are using for this these days?

Also can anyone recommend the best program for keeping my DSL connection as fast as possible ,for the smoothest streaming video and quickest downloading.

And last but not least ,can anyone recommend a good site for downloading software,,non shareware...Stuff like windows xp or norton systemworks.I realize the possibility of viruses ,im not worried about that...The last time i downloaded software years ago ,i was using limewire and shareeza..What do people use these days?

Thanks for any replies to my thread

Try Cnet for downloads. Steer clear of hacks and cracks, they contain more malicious stuff then they're worth. For most good tools there's an open source or free alternative. If you want to go the suspect route, news groups are a gold mine. Use a tool like https://binsearch.info/ and a news reader like Grabit. Most ISP give you access to thier news servers, but you might find it worth it to get a premium account like Giganews offers as their servers are faster and posts more complete.

For streaming shoutcast, local audio and managing portable devices I find Winamp by Nullsoft hard to beat. Also, the built in Milk Drop visualizations are like works of art.
