Not the earliest , we had the wettest august on record & a couple of them started to suffer a fair bit of mould but one went all the way fairly weather resistant to the end (early nov) , with 15% amber the rest cloudy . Makes a lovely racy smoke .

So MJBadger, this would confirm what Gerit has said all along about the fem version of Biddy Early being a little later (2 week+) then the Regular seeds. I have grown them around the 46-47 latitude, east canada, and the Regular seeds will all be done before Oct 5, and half of them are done around 25th september. I have only had some mould butt the fall was wet the years I have grown them....wish I did them in 2010..but I didn't...won't be doing that again.
The resin content on these is incredible, and a little like some more haze types, the resin glands tend to stay milky for a long time and the hash is almost blond!
I would like to make some crosses with a semi auto male and females to see what happens, I hear F2's are good too.

Me too Conky Badylarz! I will be documenting my Biddy Early venture. Going to do 2 packs of REG, but I won't be starting them for a few months yet. Good luck!

Thats why, from the breeder:

The semi-autoflowering mother is the same as used for the regular version.

However, the change from a male to a female sibling as a pollen donor in this cross did seem to have some effect on the autoflowering trait as well as the average/overall harvest date.
The fem version is approx 1 to 2 weeks later and I have found no autoflowering phenos so far.
But they have only been evaluated (by myself) in open field conditions so far, so I can't rule out the possibility that they will still show this trait when there is some pressure applied to their roots.

Although I had wished to remain the earliness of the regular version, the overall equality of both versions is excellent so it's a relative small concession to make.
The up-side to it is that it will be much more easy to maintain mothers.

I hope this clears things up a bit.

Regards,
Gerrit
Peace
