For Those of You Who Live in Alaska
Hoooooow fucking lucky are you.
I've always wanted to live there, hate the city. Did you grow up in Alaska or move there for a job? What type of industry are you in and does it ever get boring there? |

Never been there, certainly must be beautiful beyond belief, but I feel comfortable saying you gonna have to dig the cold if you want to live there.

i know a few here work(ed) the fishing boats. I did a search for other stuff and found a bunch of threads on it.
I know a bunch of people still in Alaska. Most of the socially healthy ones want out or are out. The rest are extended family who spend their free time chasing black bears around with guns, praying to Jesus and defending Sarah Palin. I lived there for over 5 years. What exactly draws you to it bro? The natural beauty is absolutely incredible, but for myself, the breathtaking views run their course amidst below zero temperatures, constant dark skies, and strangely expensive real estate considering its' remoteness. lol, no shit, just now I checked the Facebook wall of my buddy in Fairbanks. "Woo-hoo, supposed to hit -30 tomorrow!" lol. That shits all you bro... |

DFG,Depart of Fish and Game are the Big dogs in Alaska. On my last adventure,a couple of brothers got hired by DFG to camp out and count smolts in a river.
