Does the water pool on top of the media, and run off then? Your soil is so dry at the top it is already hydrophobic I imagine. Dry soil doesn't absorb water as easily as it might seem at first. You should pick up some surfactant. I use Yucca Extract when preparing initial medium so it rewets easier. If your in coco try out Coco-Wet.

So, I went into the male room and killed them all off, not before taking notes tho. I have decided to keep 2 fathers for later use. I just transplanted all the clones from the ez-cloner to solo cups and they must have grown about 2'' in 10days in that thing, its good to see they all rooted quickly and easily.

Male #11 was the tall vigorous plant, he was dropping pollen before all of them and spewed the most pollen of the 5 males. The smell on this boy is fruity berrylike very pungent just brushing it gives off a powerful stench. Also he looks like he got that structure to produce a massive cola if don't top it.

Male #8 This boy had the best structure of the 5, medium size plant with strong side branching(looks like a mini x-mas tree) and pollen sacks were every where on the plant. it spewed just as much pollen as #11 and took 2 days longer to really let it fly around. The smell is a little similar to #11 but not as pungent and a little less berry to it.

I am gonna leave the males in veg until I reach a decision on which female NL5xhaze is the winner to breed with. This will allow me to get some cuts of my other favorites strains to cross with (ecsd, chem sister, blueberry, and a couple others). When I am ready the plan is to just use both males to cross with 6-8 females, I figure i just leave both males in the 4x4 tent with all the girls and start them all at the same time. As much as I should just collect and paint later I think this method will be much easier and viable.

I will post some pictures of the females soon, I will also take some shots of the males in their solo cups as well.

Cool pics, I like all the different plants, she really does, at this point look very much like Sensi's version.I imagine MNS's will be stronger, his hazy side of the breeding is powerfull.Certainly can see some real potentially whopper plants once they start to move out on ya'!!! I water the hell out of my coco, I always just give it more water, it's the Nevilles , she drinks the container dry very quickly and I reckon they share some blood!!! It's been about 2.5 months since I started trying coco, some funny shit to grow in for sure, keeping up with you kids is going to kill me.....

Hey Otto, love seeing you crackin' beans!
Looks like some choice pickin's.

Like Chaco, I'm new to coco, and in part, that's due to you and the stellar results I've seen you pull from it these past yrs.

I be watching!

HL, once you get the hang of using coco you'll be crazy about it, you and chaco got a lot of experience so I know you'll be fine, also you will see why I've been using the stuff for years. Good luck with you coco run keep us updated on how you like it!

eddie saw, thanks for stopping thru

Chcaco, keeping up with us kids???? I don't think anyone here on IC mag can keep up with you! LOL you'll be a coco nut in no time....

Ok so i of course waited last second to go Christmas shopping and I hate shopping this time of year more than ever like most due, the whole day all i could think about was these plants, I just had to throw up some pics and an update for the holidays.

So 25 days into flowering and I am starting to get excited buds are starting to bust out and smells are starting to come through. The three picture below have the most smells. The one on the right has the strongest scent and it reminds me a bit of the Golden Goat but a little different, my best way to describe it is a sour lemony limey granny smith apple kind of thing going on. She is the shortest of the girls but her nodes are tight and she looks like she'll produce nice long buds. The girl pictured on the left has a similar scent but no where near has strong, she got lots of bud sites and looks like she could be a yielder. The middle girl has a faint sweet smell almost like bubblegum, not very strong but she's got vigor in her growth; similar to the girl on the right but taller.

The other 3 females well I am not getting much of a scent at all with these girls, so if I had to given a description I would say they all smell earthy hashy, I figure smell will change in time. The girl in the middle is the one who broke in half so I am gonna need to grow her again to get an idea on structure. The other two are similar medium size plants with lots of buds site they have potential to be yeilders, like the girl in the 1st pic on the left but just shorter.

Ok and here are the boys, now i know i said i was gonna keep 2 but I have a third i've been hesitant on tossing so for now he sicks around. They will sit in the solo cups for as long as they allow me to.

Stay warm and safe,

Happy Holidays!!!!

They're looking good, Otto! I like the sound of that smell from the one on the right. Sour lemon granny smith apples. If she comes with a nice haze kick too that'll be a sweet one to smoke on!
