Hey Otto, I think you are going to have some great plants.I grew out Sensi's version for a couple years and it was a beast of a strain, giant high yielding plants with those funky aromas.Like several folks here I had a great experiece with Sensi, Mr Nice has to be better but that may only be my being on Mr Nice's side, having grown soo many of his strains never to be dissapointed.I'm really looking foward to seeing how these come along.I crossed my best NL5 X Haze with a SDIBL male and had some fantastic plants.I called it the "black diesel", the taste was so rich and hazy , charcoally type of odor, the NL5XHaze actually dominated the cross and it finished outdoors at my friends ranch in Tasmania in late April. He had these huge plants it was the type of grow you build a house from.Keep us updated with the pics, I want to see this strain in action!!!

I was a rookie grower, about 14 years ago, and NL5XHaze from Sensi was one of my first "real" strains .... unfortunately, my experience with it was bad. Giant, air fluff buds with an unpleasant taste and moderate potency.
Not sayin' that any of the other experiences are wrong, just that results vary in every seed pack (and experienced growers are more likely to find a keeper in the batch.) |

Oh, I had one giant crazy female that was giant fluff bud with no smell, no taste just grass. No doubt there were some bad ones, you just have to be very selective, esp with Sensi post 90's.Don't take it the wrong way I've grown some great Sensi stock since then but in regards to the plant in question, I'm sure it isn't the 89' version....

MayoPatient, thanks a lot for some info on this strain it has been hard to find any grows from start to finish here so I hope I can add some helpful information to the site. Glad to hear about the full melt as well, cause all that trim will go to excellent use. Please keep us updated on your progress.
Herbal X, glad to see someone else grab this strain as well, please keep us updated with your progress I would love to compare differences and similarities. Good luck! Chaco, to be honest I have nothing against sensi seeds at all but I never got excited about this strain until MNS had offered it and I jumped right on them. For fun i plan to use one of the males and hit up that ecsd i figured that be a nice combo. Thanks for all the helpful info and i'll make sure to keep posting pics. mr. jones thanks for swinging thru. mullray, thank you for the heads up on the rust issue its much appreciated. So I took 2 cuts from each plant, even the males and all have juicy roots 8 days into a ez-cloner. So now if there is anything worth keeping I got with out worrying. Will post pics soon of the ladies.

I have been always interested getting Sensi version, but the price and rumours, that Sensi stock does not germ and they are not what they used to be, have been keep me away from their "high end" stuff.

Rasputin!!! The Sensi NL is great, you just veg them out for awhile and they put out some nice pot, it's not the NL that used to go around the Dead tour back in the late 80's, it's very lemony and thick consistant plants. That's kinda why I'm so interested to see how these turn out.We used to grow this NL5 outdoors that we picked via people we connected with who were Dead "marketers", it was fat and had a great hashplant kind of smell, no lemons...and finished outdoors by Oct 10th, at least finished enough to say you did it!!I hope this blend has that type of NL5, Sensi's version was hashy too, I just don't remember any lemony odors.
