wow, only one person mentioned the ring?? I'm a no-hormone girl myself, but I tried it. Also, I'm freakishly in sync with moon cycles and know exactly when I can get preggers. I ditched the BC, I just avoid a direct hit (haha I've never said that before) and get creative for a few days a month and it works for me. LOL, maybe my BF will give me some good rep for this posting
teehee! Anyway, the ring is something I tried for a little while and thought it was something I could actually hang with. I did for a bit, but just didn't need it. Its easy to use and you totally forget about it, the hormones are low dose and released slowly throughout the month.

unfortunately for me i'm allergic to most types of contraception, pill, implanton, basically any hormone products. IUD's are not avaliable in aus and the Dr told me diaphragms are only 80% effective when used with spermicide, to top it off i'm also allregic to latex! fun times...
after trying a whole barrage of different contraceptions and just getting very sick in the process, my GP eventually told me to go by my cycle and do the whole withdraw thing, so thats what i do now. thankfully i still haven't gotten preggers so i hope it keeps up. |

I find that the best form of contraception for any woman is a pair of chainmail panties with a 316 Surgical stainless steel chastity belt worn over the top secured with an 18 digit combination lock made of super-hardened steel that only an OXY-ACETYLENE torch could remove.....
....that should work...

external ejaculation is best. you have to train your idiot man to do it. sorry, yeah i am a man. sounds like your man is an idiot tho.
have sex at the time(s) you CANT get pregnant just in case he f's up and comes inside you. with all the porn out having the man end orally, facially?, he should be happy to oblige, you should learn to handle the taste of yourself as well, cause he'll eventually get tired of painting a map of Hawaii all over your chest or butt . i had a girlfriend that could not take B.C's and that's what we did for a fairly long time. His only issue is to make sure he does NOT go off before you do, or else grab the idiot by his ears and make him eat at the Y till you do. He should be doing his job too by giving you multiples by eating, drilling, eating, drilling and then some, before he blows up. As you've been together longer it will be easier for him to do. Like a friend of mine once said "I don't mind if she doesn't swallow, as long as she wears it proudly". Ha ha, i'm killin me. time to get out of this ladies room while i still got my 'nads.

I just got off of Depo-Provera after five years. Before that, I didn't take anything for four years, and did Depo for about 4 years prior to that. Most of the other women I know (I'm in a women's group) hated Depo, but it worked well for me. No period, no PMS'ing, didn't bother my sex drive.
The pill made me look swollen up, weirdly in a way that made me look more bloated than the Depo actually made me get. I had to finally go off the Depo b/c they are now discovering that it can cause bone loss. So can Norplant, btw, which is why I'm not on that now. The ring has a lot of risks associated with that. When it came out, I was excited, but after watching lots of people have problems, I decided no. I was going to do the Mirena IUD, but first there were some stories about it not being that great, then I found out that it tends to FALL OUT of women who have not had children, such as myself. So anyhow, I had planned to go off the Depo when I went for my physical, but I knew that I'd swell up with the pill AND there's no way I can remember a pill EVERY day for the next 15 years or more until I go through menopause. I DO NOT want children. So the lady sent me to see a gynecologist for a birth control consult and basically, b/c I'm over 35, there is too much risk factors for blood clots or bone loss or whatever on basically every form of birth control, the IUD falls out of women (and a shocking rate) who hadn't had a kid and he said my only real choice was to get my tubes tied. So I did it last week. They did it labroscopically through a half inch incision in my belly button and an inch or so incision bellow my stomach. They clamp the fallopian tube and make a loop and then slide a band over the loop to hold it closed. It's fairly easy to reverse, although hell will freeze over before I change my mind, I must say. There was a lot of pain when I woke up, but mostly I felt it elsewhere in my body. They gave me lots of vicodin, so it was easy to get through that. I did lose a week of getting nothing done, but that was ok, cuz I was on vacation. Still I had no difficulty going back to work this week and things are healing nicely. I'm excited that I don't have to take hormonal birth control again b/c the hormones are probably a pretty significant portion of the weight I want to lose and any way you slice it, losing weight will be easier without having the hormones. I'm a little worried about having PMS and a period again, b/c I haven't had either in most of my 20s and 30s. But that's what Grape Krush is for. i'm happy to answer other questions privately. I had a REALLY good dr. When the anesthesiologist came in before the surgery he mentioned that my dr. had only done about a couple of million tubal ligations. The walls in his office had him as member and chairperson of a number of gyn boards going back to the early 80s. When I went to the dr. last night b/c I had a sore throat (possibly due to the breathing tube last week, I might have gotten an infection), and he asked who had done my surgery, the dr. said "oh, he's really good!" So I guess if anyone wants more information, just reply back or pm me.
