Job in Vancouver area, wondering about places to live
Hi all, I trust my fellow smokers and growers more then I do the general public so I come asking for some advice!
![]() From the states , have had a job offer presented to me in the Vancouver area. I live in the state of Washington atm and was curious if anyone could recommend area's that are decent for a young professional family of 4 with 1 preteen and 1 younger child. We are looking for something in an area where rent for a 3bdrm house/dwelling will run us around 1200cnd a month at most. I am a techy in the entertainment industry so I don't mind driving to work. I love country living, but I need my high speed internet so some place rural but techy would be great. ![]() Thanks all, obviously since I post on this site I am Cannabis friendly and am involved in the local politics of legalization also so if there is more Cannabis friendly areas those would be beneficial as well, no one else in the family smokes but they all are kosher and have the same views as most of us smokers. I am not looking for a place to grow. ![]()

3bdrm for 1200 goodluck.. 1000 for a 1 bedroom is pretty common .. cost of living is outrageous on the island and even worse in vancouver.
If you go rural it will be less... |

If you would pick a couple rural towns in the area, what would you choose? Once my Advanced Drivers License is done I am driving up to check out the areas anyway, just figured I would ask around here for any input.

prices in the lower mainland are very high, but if u dont mind driving in brutal traffic u can look 2 the outer reaches of the fraser valley; Chilliwack, Abbottsford, Mission, etc

West Vancouver near the Culinary School and 99. I think there is a park nearby also, grainville park or something similar.

thanks all for the input, ill check out the northern area. I drove 2 hours to work in LA one way so I am ok with traffic as long as brutal isn't over a couple of hours.

Squamish and Brackendale, are close to West Van. Some people live on the sunshine coast ( Gibsons, Sechelt ) and catch the ferry to west van and back everyday...
