taiz and zeiger is an excellent reference. finding a way to access google scholar articles (like through a university library or something like that) is a must for anyone who wants to better understand the variety of plant sciences that will make you a more informed and better grower.

I ran across this while doing some research on germinating seeds and thought others might find it useful.

Figured I might as well add my own online resources list here, I know some of them have already been shared in this thread.

Scientific Journals
These can be searched very easily when using simple Google search codes. For whatever site and subject you want to seach simply type into Googles seach bar 'site:' followed by (without spaces) the website's url without the "www." then a space, and then use google as you would. For example, if you wanted to search Annals of Botany articles for stuff on Ascorbic acid you would enter into Google's search bar "site:aob.oxfordjournals.o rg ascorbic acid" (without quotations, and the space between the o and the rg that magically appears that i cant edit out)

subbed and THANK YOU! I'm about to take the plunge with thin layer chromotography. I know a few here have been disparaging on TLC, but I think it's the way to go...I personally don't want only corporation with deep pockets claiming only gas chromo is the ONLY way. It's not. Let's keep things moving in the right direction, the hands of the people.
