serenade from online store
I'm going crazy trying to thwart my somewhat mild case of powder mildew... i have read countless times that serenade works wonders but my local grow stores dont stock it or know what the heck it is... hoping someone could shoot me a link for an online distributor that would be able to send to a canadian address.. thanks

Google
just type Serenade Garden Spray into google and you will get lots of hits. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...55336?n=284507
similar to this one. This is just the first one that showed up i have no idea who or where they are but there were lots of other hits i just used this one as an example. Until you get your serenade spritz your plants with water that has a ph above 8 often as PM doesnt grow well on a high ph surface. A pinch of baking soda will raise your ph. Also a spritz of neem oil will keep the surface from being infected by the mildew. Trim away as much of the infected areas as possible before spraying anything and dispose of it where it wont spread around. A sulphur burner will prolly get rid of the PM best if your plants arent in flower. Doubt if the sulphur will smell any worse then the serenade. Dont worry it doesnt last all that long

me 2 cent's.......
there's a lot of things that work for PM! sulfur burner, sm-90, serenade ect...... but where dose the problem start would be a better ? to ask. all of them work but i have never seen any of them keep it away. the reason u have PM is from hummidy ( most the time from heat ) the best for PM would be to get better flow of air. intake/outtake & bigger or more fans in the room. its even hard to get PM with 90% hummidy ( rainning )if u keep your air moving.... good luck.... ps. serenade or sm-90 ect will be needed to kill off your spors that u have now. then up grade... dont want to blow then around

Babbabud is completely correct. Sulfur smells ways better than Serenade, but Serenade works wonders. Just make the effort to rid yourself of PM before flower....and trim trim trim the infected portions.

Serenade stinks like I don't know what . I used it only on leaf blades and trunks , never tha buds in fear of em tasting like that nasty smellin product . Currently , we're testin out sm-90 but haven't used it long enough to come up with an opinion of it , except it smells a whole lot better . Sulpher burners are an excellent way of controlling pm though!

I agree that the root of the problem is probably the best one to tackle. Is this indoors?
The only time I had a problem with pm was when I had constant moisture under a moldy carpet that I swore was dry (plastic pool etc). The spores just a kept on comin' and no serenade, or anything for that matter could control it. Once I found the problem tho and cleaned it, I never had a problem again, and yes, ventilation plays a big role in the control, but not if the infection is generalized...if you know what I mean. If it's outdoors like in a greenhouse, then sulfur is great. Serenade also controls pm spread for a week at a time or so, but if you have a humid and moldy environment, you gotta keep spraying it at least once a week...it does burn the plants too.. Ortho Garden Disease Control from Lowes works wonders. Safe for food crops. I had leaf mold taking over my heaviest yielders this past summer. I diluted it to a quarter strength and fogged it on everything. Worked and I didn't get any complaints about bad tasting bud.
I use a Fogmaster Jr when I am forced to go to stronger methods of pesticide/fungicide. Very fine particles. You want to fix the root of the problem though; more air movement, dehumidifier, bleach the growroom... Good luck! |

er, its indoors, definitely air circulation was a cause in it materializing... currently sprayed plants that arent flowering with einstein oil which works well but I read about serenade and figured I'd give it a go if it wasnt such a bitch to get my hands on... powder mildew is hell and dealing with it is driving me nuts
