How does the LUI13 smell.

Does it stink to high heaven, low odor or fruity.

I was debating for my next grow if I would go with the LUI13 or AK47 for a large producer.

I'm strongly leaning to the LUI13 but I can't find anything on the smell of the finished product.

I've decided to try the Magenta for my personal.

Thanks.

I have 5 LUI 13 in bloom at the moment. They are finishing week seven and have a varied smell to them. Some are what i would call low-odor, and others are fruity.
Last round i grew out two packs of AK-47 and the finished product is rotten fruit smelling and huge crystally nugs, with the downfall being that they never really tightened up much. Maybe they should have gone longer as i chopped them around day 65.
I was revegging an ak47, but after watching my lui13's develop i ended up cutting it down, as i want to work more with the lui13. Though i will likely run ak again someday. Tough choice, both awesome strains.
i did have more phenos in the LUI13 to choose from.

Do check out inreply's grow thread in my forum here....some real beauties in there! Can also use the 'search forum' option, type in LUI13, select 'posts' (instead of thread) and you'll get lots of results to read through.

I will definitely check out inreplyavalon thread. Thanks for the detailed info and comparing it to AK.

I'm going to look for that pheno Bighead has.

I'm dealing with amateurs when it comes to commercial. If it doesn't stink and hit them like a bat to the head they don't want it.

I'm going to check these threads again to see if I can find some information on how the finished product smells.

Thanks for all the replies.

Update.

Dutchgrown: Thanks for the info I found exactly what I was looking for. I need the Otrega pheno.

You do great work and I can't wait to grow these strains.

For anyone else looking for this information here it is.

[quote=Dutchgrown;3961218]The Ortega side of LUI (Legends Ultimate Indica) will show herself during flower as a pointed cola (some might refer to as 'spear shaped'), but is compact, and produces a very dense cola with close side buds that grow along side the cola, in a compact fashion, being a plant of MUCH shorter stature than most LUI (Swt leaning) plants which tend to stretch a bit with more gapping between internodes, with Ortega taking on a more earthy and pungent aroma vs candy sweet (that comes from the Swt side of LUI). A true Ortega pheno of LUI13 can be perhaps confused with the early appearance of G13bx (father of LUI13), but what you should keep in mind is that Ortega will produce (in flower) much larger and broader, fatter buds than G13bx, and in veg, the leaves will be wide like LUI13's G13bx father influence, but with an unmistakable leaf serration unlike G13bx or a Swt pheno of LUI. Resin production will be early and profuse.

Plants leaning heavily towards Ortega before harvest should resemble...bear with me, as I attempt to describe this....a tight broad shaped wedding bouquet with the cola extending from the middle of the bouquet that is very fat and a few inches above the rest of the buds. This of course depends on if the grower has not subjected the plant to heavy pruning earlier on and left her to grow natural.
