FireFox problem - please help.
When I click on "Stand By" in the shut down menu this PC shuts off instead!
How do I fix this so I can use the "Stand By" function as it is intended to work? Thank for you help!

not a firefox problem.
bet you have windows. This is an easy fix. it's in your power options. go to your control panel power options choose what power buttons do...system settings there are some drop down boxes choose the setting you want. check ou the advanced setting also there is a sleep section in the advanced hope that helps Peace |

This doesn't sound like a Firefox problem at all, since Firefox doesn't even have a Shutdown menu. This sounds like a Windows issue instead.
If that is correct, it would be helpful to know which version of Windows you are running. In the meantime, perhaps the following links can help: How to troubleshoot hibernate and standby issues. |

You guys were all correct.
Windows as a OP yes. I did the power options thing and everything was checked where it was supposed to be. However I unchecked and applied those settings and then checked them back and applied again and things are working fine now. So what ever it was it is fixed! Thanks all for your help!
