Thai Dragon chases the Glass Slipper.
With great anticipation and excitement I popped my seeds into bowls of water on Saturday night.
Dutch Grown strains are: Mystic gem, Thai dragon, glass slipper, Oger 99, Sweetest cindy, and Camelot Kush. (Plus a few others.) The strains that this thread will concenrate on will be Thai Dragon and Glass slipper. But now and then I will pop in a photo and news on the progress of the others. Glass Slipper The White x C99 Limited Release! The White....All frost, but mild flavor and punch.... With the addition of the soaring, psychedelic, fruity, pineapple Cinderella genes, expect The White/99 to really shine-not to mention knock you on your ass! Flowering: Approx. 60 days and Thai Dragon99 (China Yunnan x DTC99) This incredible union is a combination of two independently powerful strains, each having a very unique flavor, structure, and high that has been combined to please any grower in search of a potent, short flowering, and balanced 'easy to grow' indica/sativa hybrid strain. Growers can expect resin packed buds with flavors bursting from exotic fruits to creamy caramel. Thai Dragon99 delivers an initial punch, with an uplifting and happy effect, followed by a comfortable head-to-toe warm and relaxing pleasant ending, making Thai Dragon99 a possible candidate for medicinal consumers desiring an effect that stimulates mental creativity coupled with soothing muscle qualities to drift off into a state of physical relaxation. Flowering time indoor: 60-65 days Parent line: Ace Seeds China Yunnan (female) x Original Brothers Grimm DTC99 (male) I am so pleased that I managed to score these strains. As every DG strain is on my wish list, and the more I can grow the better. I want to also thank DG for gifting me and her faithful followers/clients a variety of her prized strains. I was extremely lucky to get the "Thai Dragon". So without further ado: Pictured below are the stains soaking away and I expect that by tomorrow they will all be ready to go into rapid rooter/soil-ey thingies, and then into the dome. I am doing 5 seeds from each strain- Hopefully I will have good luck with my germ rates. ( they are begining to split open.) |

Update at 8 days germ...
DG it most certainly is a castle of goodness.
I am sorry for not being able to update sooner, I was very busy with an exam on the 30th Nov. I did a tour guiding course, and the amount of material we have to study is just overwhelming. I had everything on hold until after my exam. then I had to catch up with everything that was onhold. Exam was I think ok, but now I have to do an oral, and that will not be so cool. I am terrible with oral exams and talking to a groups. :-( Anyway, so we are all under way, and growiing very nicely as you will see from the photos. As you may recall I planted 5 each of each strain. This is the rundown of all the those that germed. We are on 24 hours of light, I plan to reduce the light cycle to 18/6 next week. I wanted everyone to be strong and established before changing the lights. We have a mozart mp3 disc looping 24/0, Temps in the room at the moment is 23 degrees Cel. I am giving the full range of Bio Nova products for soil (except for PK 13-14 which will be added during flowering) Reason everyone is in 11 liter pots - (I hope this works out ok) is because last grow, I had smaller pots in the begining until 1 week into flowering, then the moment I knew the sex I transplanted into 11 liters. Result was that I did not veg long enough and so my whole yield was small in comparrison to what I usually get. Because I am doing seeds and not clones (next grow will be clones) I planted 60 seeds/seedlings and its a big job to transplant 60 seedlings 3 times until I know what's female and what's male to be disgarded. So prehaps I can miss the step of transplanting, 1 of the glass slippers is a runt (not photographed) but from past expierence (see my test thread of OG chem I had a runt and it turned out to be awesome weed) So I know it will grow big and if a female will be fantastic. We have all been cropped - I removed the 2 lower leaves. and when we reach the 3rd or 4th node I wil snip snip off the tips. So we will see how it all works out... 4 Thai Dragons, 3 Glass slippers, 2 Oger's 2 Camelot kuch, 4 Mystic Gems 4 Sweetest Cindy's Pictured below are: Thai Dragons: Glass slipper.
