U should try placing some reflective mylar over your buckets, are you washing you rocks as well with the h202.. hopes this hlps.. btw nice pics

How hot are they getting?

Algae you say damn that sucks but feel we need to figure out why so that it does not happen again. A decent chiller can be had on the Bay anymore for under 200.00.

have 4 AK sprouts, along with 4 mystery feminized from the boo, interesting how both went 4 for 5 on popping, Hope I can find something worth keeping from the AKs, looking for a keeper, going to clone before i throw them into flower, hopefully the smell doesnt overpower my filter. We shall see

I can only speak for what I have tried and The Teams is the only one I have sorry.

I have never found it to be broke so I never tried to fix it if you know what I mean.

Hi All thanks for your time and pointers.
I was showering the roots and the hydroton with h202 but, either I wasn't doing a good enough job or there were algae spores all over because of the rapid return.

My tank temp would go from 68-74. Reading about chillers opinions varied... 68 seemed to be a what most people were setting theirs at. I hope to set up the pipes and do another test run not in my main room sooner or later.

As for the AK.. I planted them in a soil mix a month a go.
Had a few casualties but the strong ones are looking good.

I mixed up
1 3 cubic ft bag Age Old Organic Grow
1 50 liter bag Bio Bizz All Mix
6 quarts coco
12 liters large perlite
3 scoops ZHO

Vegged for two weeks in the soil to allow them to adjust.
They are at 14 days of bloom today. Fed nothing but ph'ed water since the transfer to soil. The mix is holding water well, The larger plants need watered about every 7 days the smaller ones a little more.

All plants were topped a good while back. I have LST'ed most of the plants. Pulling the top two nodes out and down making the Y into more of a T shape giving it a flat top for a nice canopy. Hope that makes sense, check the second pic of this post for a better idea. I have also cleaned up a lot of the lower nodes in a lollipop fashion, some plants more than others.

Plants are looking good can't wait to see where they go from here.

Looks like they have turned around nicely since you put them in soil. Whats ZHO? 2 weeks in and things are just about to get exciting, do your thing sir! You using any lime in your mix for a PH buffer?

Hi Bob,
ZHO is mix of beneficial mycorrhizae and fungi to promote a healthy root zone. I had some laying around from my battles with the algae. Their poor roots were looking pretty mushy after my hydro woes and I figured it couldn't hurt

Im not a soil master by any means, this was my first time doing some dirt so to speak. I would of added a box of peace of mind flower and some lime, however the only store that had them was closed the day I needed to whip up the batch. Do you find lime to be a good addition, and if so, how much?

Having worked with this soil mix so far, I will nix the coco the next round. I find the water retention to be too high. With 10 days between waterings, I wasn't able to adapt their nutrient needs quickly enough. They made it about 6 weeks with no added nutrients but I should of given them a boost last watering.
They have a nice yellow fade going now and if we were two weeks further along I would think about just letting them go. Should I have added the peace of mind fruit, these ladies might of gotten them a little further on their own.

After six weeks in the dirt, one month blooming, I fertilized with a ~350ppm solution of dutch master bloom A&B and some beastie blooms as its what I had lying around. Didn't want to hit them with anything too strong. Been PH'ing to 6.0 my runoff comes out at 6.5. They appeared to react well and will prolly give them one more nutrient feeding before the bloody finale.

Here's some 28 day bloom pics, sorry for the lights.

I'd start with adding a cup of fine lime powder to your mix, then half way through top dress them and water it in good. Yours are looking fine tho, I wouldnt mess with them now, they're happy thats all that matters. The new pics are looking very nice, pop some shots while the lights are out, flash dependent.
