I'm really happy with the curing process this time. All thanks go to "The Perfect Cure" thread and some mini digital hygrometers that I put in the jars to "see" what was happening during the cure.

Here's a pic of the dried and 3-week cured bud at 58% RH. I don't like my buds totally naked, but I'd probably trim her just a little bit more next time. The little nug shows the "interior view" of the bud when broken apart:

SMOKE REPORT

Wow, the smell is strong when I crack the jar, but subtle at the same time- "thick" may be a good description. It's an elusive and very difficult to define smell. None of the scents are overpowering and jump to the forefront. I've never smelled THESE marijuana smells before- although the first thing that comes to your mind when you smell it is "Good Weed!".

Overall, in general, I'd have to say it smells like a nice blend of Grandmother's floral bath powder and hay. But hay in a very good sense. Like only the SWEET component of the hay smell, not the harsh smell of improperly cured "crap weed". It's not a candy or fruit smell - not that kind of "sweet" smell. It's definitely not fruity.

There is a little bit of that sweet hay in the TASTE as well. She tastes very good. There are also some nice mint flavors that come through in the taste. Not mint candy really, more like the fresh Mint plant itself. A very nice and smooth taste. And if you analyze deeply enough, there is a nice little tobacco taste as well.

The SMOKE is great! She has an expansive punch in the lungs that catches even chronic smokers a little off-guard the first time they smoke it, always producing a good cough or two on a decent hit Very nice, not harsh at all! Strong.

She gives a nice little head rush on almost every decent hit too, sending warm waves through the layers of your brain and backing off just before it's too late. This weed doesn't just sit you down when you smoke it. You'll learn to sit down BEFORE you strike the match.

The high is a good mix of head and upper body. You can noticeably feel your eyelids droop a bit within minutes of your first hit. There is a tingling and a lifting in the shoulders and chest. You can feel your mind being put at ease and the creativity starts to open up. Little projects seem interesting... old music has a fresh new sound.. you feel like doing some tinkering. But you better make a list!! Even then, you're going to have a hard time staying on track. Really.

No one experienced any paranoia. And it's good to sleep on too. A very nice combo. No one that smoked it reported any abnormal munchies.

I have advanced arthritis in my lower back. I'm able to get around okay so far, but I'm stiff and in a lot of pain when I wake up; or when I've been driving, sitting, or not moving around much.

This girl has really helped me to get over my morning pain especially. After just a few tokes in the morning, I can feel my stiffness turning to warmness. My mind starts to wander and think about other things.

Before long, I'm up moving around and I have started my day with a smile on my face. I'm a chronic smoker of strong pot, but this takes it to the next step for me. I've experienced this relief with other strong strains, but not to this good of a degree. Granted, there are other variables involved. But I find this strain/pheno to be very beneficial.

That brings up a good question! What is this mysterious strain from the Select Mix pack? I have courted her for more than 100 days now and I still don't know her name.

Sweetest Cindy99? aaaa...

Dieselrella? naaa...

OGer99? Hmmmm.....

The temp and humidity are fine.

Here is #1. She's already showed at the fifth node and has bottom branches wider than she is tall. I'm guessing Dieselrella?

So far I've had a very easy go with these, they are troopers. So far just Roots Excel and water.

Transplant coming in a week I'm guessing. Will go to 2 gallon for a couple of weeks.

You can see the weight this girlis putting down on the screen. I need wire cutters for the branches. I believe this plant to be Dieselrella

A Dieselrella(L) Sweetest Cindy(C) and OGer(R)

Well I hope this thread proves useful to someone looking at Select Mix, its a great buy. I found 3 or 4 keepers depending upon some factors.

Thank you everyone for following along!! Also thank you DutchGrown for some fire genetics, that very much live up to their description!!

They are all going great as far as I can tell. Still a newbie with soil and am not sure I'm watering enough or not.

They've been on straight water except some Rhizotnic in the first couple weeks and day 21 they got a bat guano tea.

Today would be day 38 for all the ladies. Here they are.

#1 Had to stake her up for the photo shoot so she may look a bit twisted.

#3 Same deal as #1 these were in the back of the room and I never moved them until today so she was floppy too.

#4 The one I hacked up pretty good earlier in flower. I'll think she'll be alright.

#7 Sweet smelling girl for sure, like #1 and #3.

#8 The runt. Well not so much anymore. Almost threw this girl out many times in her early veg.

That's about it for now, Got a couple closeups I'll put up in a bit.

#1 or 3 What can I say I'm stoned. They're very similar.

# 3 My fayorite so far. Straight Fruit Stripe gum if ya know.

#8

The happy family.

The studio is a work in progress. Black bed sheet $20, couple reptile lights $10
Still need more light, probably a speedlight flash but $30 will do until I'm ready to drop the $300 for the speedlight.
