DG, what are your germination and seedling care methods?
I started 2 glass slipper seeds and 2 magenta 99 seeds two weeks ago and they just seem slow to develop. They cracked and sprouted great, have them in coco. They have been around 74-80 degrees since cracking. They really haven't made it to the first true set of leaves and now are starting to yellow a bit. I was just curious what your methods are. I didn't see it in the "dial it in" section. If this is posted somewhere else I apologize in advance. Thanks for any help!!

Paper towel method...then into rock wool starter cubes....Canna Rhizotonic....yes, the info is in my forum...but one has to seek out the info.
Seeds perform differently in different grower enviros and based on grower skill. With rare exception....ALL of DGS seeds pop and flourish onward. as is evidenced by many many grow threads in my forum. DGS is in coco as well.....but never goes from germination straight in to coco....I always recommend starting seedlings in rock wool starter cubes...preferably using Canna Rhizotonic for initial waterings. There's lots of growers here in my forum that have quite a bit of experience with my seeds....post up some pics and maybe they'll drop in with some help for you. |

May I also recommend a root inoculants? House and Garden has a great product called Roots Excelurator. Has everything your babies need. You can even up the dosage, but I wouldn't recommend you doing so until you gain some experience playing with the product. I bet Rhizotonic would be fantastic also.
Edit: only use once roots are established in rapit rooter or rock wool or whatever. |

I in no way want anyone to think that I am blaming the seeds for a slow start! Not a chance! I really was just curious to see how close my methods were to yours. I also germinate in paper towels, transplant to rapid rooters placed in coco 16 oz cups. I am watering them with distilled, RO water with a few drops of superthrive. I am hoping they pull through! I am gonna pick up some RW cubes tomorrow and crack a few more just in case. I am really looking forward to the Magenta 99 in flower! I will look into canna nutes while i am at the hydro shop tomorrow even though i dont think they carry them.

you need to feed those seeds. Give them some N.

I had similar growth with the Magenta 99 growing so slow. After a certain amount of time they exploded and took of and did what I expected. I do not use coco so ?

![]() Superthrive...what do you guys think about that product?? J.C. picked it up a few weeks ago and thus far must say very impressive. I love the directions and the bottle looks like it was made by stoners, for stoners. I went 1/2 strength...i.e. bottle said 1 drop per gallon and went 1 drop every other gallon...GREEN! Very fast acting....don't give up on the, look in hammer's thread...hope that u get what ur searching for man.

Superthrive is good and has been used by pros for a long time. However, Root inoculants are way better. Give them a try.
