Moving to B.C and need some info
Hallo,
I'm moving from Germany to the beautiful sunshine coast next year and want to keep growing there. I've been doing some research about legal consequences if busted and found varying information. Maybe some of you B.C growers could give me your thoughts and experiences about what the consequences and risks would be like for me. I will have a perminant residency card and want to grow with around 4-6 lights...nothing big. Would I possibly be looking at jail time? Since I am planning to buy a house there would the authorities be able to seize my house and assets like in the states? Any help and insights are greatly appreciated...I just want to be able to assess my risks properly Thx BBQ |

well its not the amount of lights but the number of plants...............
and they can only sieze your possessions if they can prove you paid for the house with drug money

figure 200 plants or less and youll get 2 years max....most likely 6 months
it all depends on your lawyer

That'll make the third German i know who is going to , or has already moved to the Sunshine Coast. What's with the exodus from Germany, I thought they still had a strong economy?
Anyrate 6 x 600w in a sealed and aircleaned room is standard here and there is not much chance that you will get discovered.Only problems I know of are if you live north of Pender harbor ,the electric can go out for days in the winter....... Good luck with your move |

Thank you all so much for the info.
. I will also open a legitimate business in the tourist industry so I will have a source of income in canada plus I get dividends from a legitimate business abroad to pay for the mortage rates. I am worried though that if I get busted the 50% downpayment for the house and land could be siezed. I will have to go through this with lawyers I know in vancouver but getting first hand information from growers here is always the most helpful...so thank you all for that. @Bob : Germans tradionally move to Canada...I know a lot that have. Beautiful country with considerably more freedoms and way more relaxed mentality than here in Germany. The Germans who have their heads on straight tend to be very successfull abroad. Our economy is booming rigth now but the costs to operatea business and the taxes are crushing here. The profit margins are just too low and the money you have to invest are too high. For the cost of a small one bedroom appartement here in my city I can buy a 4-5 bedroom ocean/lake front house on the sunshine coast. @DMT : Ive grown trees in recirculating DWC buckets before so that definetly sounds like the most sensible thing to do. Jail time would be a real bitch..lol .. especially since in my parts of germany I would not do jail time for anything under 4-6 kg. I'm really excited to start something new in B.C and appreciate all the input. BBQ Last edited by KharmaGirl; 11-13-2010 at 02:51 PM.. Reason: Edited TOU Violation |

theres even a strain called Berlin, hehe couldnt resist. sunshine coast is also a great zone 4 outdoor grows, hence the name. some great od genetics such as Texada Timewarp, that rival most indoor buds, imho

BBQ you need to look up Bill S-10 that is what is going on with pot & politics, if this bill passes it will speak to you about your question.
