plants love berlin weather lol
sorry for not speaking german yet. I just arrived in berlin and I would like to ask about the drug policy here.
I mean I have read about the 12-15gr rule and how permissive the police is about hanf, but what about having 3-4 plants in your closet? Is it an offense or is it permissable? I was trying to read news about drug busts and most of them concern high quantities and/or big indoor plantations. But they were also some news about people having 7-8 plants in their balconies. so what are the opinion of the locals? thank you and sorry again for not speaking german |

i absolutely agree with mr.jones
dont feel safe when ure growing, though it's okay to smoke a joint on the street in few boroughs. the punishment and prosecution are less bad as in the southern part of germany but it's stil illegal and u have to deal with the consequences.

if you have more than 7,5g of THC in your possession youre in big shit basically. so with 10% THC content that would be 75g. everything under that and if youre a first offender nothing too bad will happen. let me clarify this you wont go to jail but you can get a hefty fine and they will take all your shit and equipment.
if you have more than 7,5g of THC youre in trouble. as a first offender you propably wont go to jail either but you will be officially stamped as a criminal and it will limit your future chances of getting jobs significantly. every company who does background checks can see that entry in your file. as a repeat offer you can get jailtime too. it doesnt really matter if you grow it or have it lying around AFAIK. more a question of whats your intention to do with it, are you gonna sell it or can you convince them its all for personal use. |

growing is illegal
selling is illeagal having more stuff than "eigenverbrauch" (what you personaly need) is illegal smoking is not! rest is alreday been said above... growing is a bitch, cant trust anybody, cant tell anybody, selling is HIGHLY dangerous, caught with a "nicht geringe Menge" (everything more than 12g in berlin i think) could lead to a visit with a search in your appartment...

imho it's less risky to have a small grow (with carbon filter!!) than buying weed every week...
try to stay under 7.5g THC and keep your grow secret(!)

You see berlin is so permissive about using the stuff, it makes you wonder. I have read in an older article the chief of the local police saying that we will bust someone with a big grow, but all in all we dont care about what people plant in their gardens. Selling is out of question. For me it is mostly a gardening hobby with happy fruitful results (and I hate to buy the stuff from the street, yeah call me a hypochondriac, I prefer bio stuff ) My closet will be so small it will hardly have more than 2 plants blooming and 2 more in vegetative growth, so I will keep in mind not having more than 60grams at any one time (my friends will be extra happy I plan to use LEDs so its super small scale (and not so hot) and a carbon filter in front of a small exhaust fan. I feel your pain people, in Italy laws are harsh too and growers are raided on a daily basis.

yep, pigs are stupid everywhere, though in berlin they seem to have this 12gram rule (which is a huge quantity to stroll around).
thanks again for your input, I'll take care to have an extra stealthy closet (no strange UFO lights coming out of the cracks, no unpleasant odors, just a 75W LED installation and in house consumption
