ty for nominating me and for putting up almost only od pics
all entrys are great, though i think theherbalizors is a bit overflashed. if you lower gamma a bit it looks like this and it could be more worked aswell, but then the contest rules are probaly violated |

I'm not sure how well the POTM is defined by most because I don't think it can be defined at all. I usually select a picture that makes me happy or if I think I can objectively spot what others will pick, I'll go that route. More often than not, I find myself choosing the winner before even seeing the poll results. I've selected many POTM in large part because of the spectacular talent demonstrated by the camera man. I hate to give names to leave people out, but doobieduck has always impressed me and stood out as a superb photographer hence he comes to instantly to mind. Every month it seems that the types of images can be placed into a few cateogries. Large grows, plants, buds, trichomes, et cetera. High quality camera work especially macro shots. And last, but not least, something creative and unique. Sometimes there are creative camera work or unique large plants, but the important part is that any photo at least has some of these qualities that make an image pleasing to my eye. From the second I saw theherbalizor's image I thought, wow, what a unique strain, but I noticed something was possibly a-rye. Altering an image in photo shop as an attempt of sophism of course should be against the rules, but it looks to me that the theherbalizor's image was simply shot with a large amount and perhaps a flash fill in feature. The unique aspect about the strain was its large pistils and the flash emphasized it, in my opinion. My vote went to the snail. |

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Remember, I can only work with what I'm given so if you want to see a certain type of photo/plant in the poll it has to be nominated first to have a chance of being entered. Post up your favourites
