Hey guys :) First off thanks for clicking my thread. Over the last week I've noticed what I think is magnesium deficiency. Heres a few things I've noticed.

  • Middle age to older leaves effected.
  • Was happening before resent reservoir change and has continued to get worse.
  • Doesn't seem to be causing full necrosis yet
  • Growth speed has been normal new growth looks healthy

First thing I did was add 1tbs a gallon of epson salts to the res and foliar fed them a mix of 1tbs/quart epsons salts. That was yesterday. Am I on the right track?

Heres some pics...I've removed some of the worse effected leaves.

Feedback appreciated.

My leaves are exhibiting these exact signs as well! I was about to make a thread on it. I'm using PBP soil formula and calmag+ on approximation of Lucas formula (15ml, 5ml/gal ro water respectively). Was feeding at half str, guess I'll ry upping the dose. Soil btw.

It definitly wouldnt be heat stress based on the information given.... You should start pruning the stuff off the bottom as the light doesnt go far past the scrog net..... are you going to tie your tops down to the nets or r u just using the nets for support for it to grow through? Either way they should be pruned up :) Oh and if the ph is 6.0-6.2 I would lower it to 5.6-5.8. High!

For soilless medias, I have better luck with pH 5.5-5.9

I developed similar look, added feeding (from1x to2x/day), greening up fast.

Thanks for the advice guys above are my readings up until today and what I've done to correct it. It's looking very much like a lockout caused by high ph/too much N..

Will definitely be giving them a trim below the screen. Will keep you guys posted. They have generally been looking healthier the last couple of days. Again thanks for the input.
