Welcome to the great indoors janey. I gotta tell ya tho I thought I was all that with my little bucket indoor grow untill I got a look at a Babba bush
Oh well not all of us live in heaven so let's see what we can do for you. I usually go 24/7 when I germing the seeds in my rapid rooters and keep there untill the roots come out and then pot and keep on 24-7 about a day or two until I feel they have rooted well and then switch to 18/6 and then veg until I flip to 12/12. I will add that when I start adding my flower nute's I go 50/50 (veg&flower mix) for the fist week or so simply to get the girls ready for the big switch. Let's face facts Women don't usually like sudden change so I do what I can to keep them happy best I can since I'm just a man and all.jeney pm me at any time if ya need anything. The only question that I feel is a silly one is the same one you ask for the third time. Get my point? Your off to a good start by using Female Seeds. 2 years for me now and never a male to mess things up,well except me that is. Mr.Wags

i transplanted a few times at the same time i switched to 12/12... it's not the best thing to do... but the plants will survive... might affect overall yield... but first weeks of flo are like a transitional phase during which the plant still stretches... hence vegs...

Ok janey let's just say baby steps. Leys just see if we can show what we mean.
![]() Ok here is a perfect example. You will see the rooter on the right and the smaller 2 1/2 inch pots on the left. What the main goal here is janey is the roots. It's all in the roots. I use rooters first Ready Grow soil then Hydroton rock balls hos that for a kicker After they get a goot root system in the smaller pot under the 125 floro I then move to the bigget 5 inch pots and put either under a 400 or 1000 depending on what available. I've gotten several pm's asking why the soil then the rocks? Here's why: ![]() With a root system like this already established, once they hit the buckets you get this quick: Hell girl I've even use the foam cups with a getto ebb and flow: This little baby set me back a whole 13.00 once completed and worked quite well. Hope it help. Mr.Wags

Hi Janey ...well some people think that it doesn't matter when & how many times you transplant ..& some do
transplanting will never put more stress on a plant ..then the stress being caused by leaving it to get root-bound or an acidic drop but your last transplant is recommended to happen just before you put a plant into flower ...now this is something that cant always be followed because what happens if the plant isn't ready ! so your still going to have transplant at some time in flower ..to avoid as much stress as possible ...the trick is being 1 step in front of the plant at all times if the plant start's to get sick ..thats it, its sick ..no matter what you do it's still going to get damaged in some way ..even if thats just a single yellow leaf to avoid as much stress as possible ..the new soil has to be the same as the old in moisture & temperature ...so the water that your going to use for the new transplant has to be the same temp as the old soil water your plant first with warm room temperature water & then as you transplant you use the remaining water again for the new soil as required the plant wont detect such a big difference ...and will continue as if nothing ever happened ...peace |
