I was looking at the HC website about medical marijuana and I saw that there are a few thousand people in Ontario alone able to possess the drug but less than 500 people who are legally aloud to grow for somebody....Is it really that hard to be a designated caregiver for somebody? Or is there more to it like the people just buy marijuana, or decide to grow their own? Please help!

It is incredibly HARD to grow and get the paperwork together and help ppl out ..LOL.. They don't make it easy for anyone NO WAY NO HOW!!! Then there is the growers they are few and far between and then you have to have a place ,equipment on and on and lots of ppl say they can grow but they are not that good at it. Then you need good strains and the amount of hoarding of good clones from the so-called medical community is pretty pathetic. Everyone knows somebody but in the end they know nobody and have nothing but their hand out..Every turn ppl are looking for your cash in one way or the other and the doctors are just as bad if not worse with their BS. So in short the answer to your question is "NO"! ... a big fat "NO"..... welcome to Canada lol.. I left another place in your IC box lol peace out Headband707

hey guys!
I was wondering the same thing because I saw a couple different videos showing the medical shake HealthCan sells to people, makes me sick knowing people puff on it.

There are all types of on going legislative fiascos with this plant in this country but you can find some simple answers HERE. The system that is set up right now is by application, and it seems to be a very slow process. In the application it states "Under the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations, an Authorization to Possess may be issued for a period of up to 12 months." Awesome.

it is hard to get. My doc recommended to just say my sick wife is going to be growing it instead of me. I am going to be doing it because she is too sick, but he said Health Canada will give us far less trouble if we say she is doing it. It is messed up.

Yeah it all sounds so sweet doesn't it but then reality sets in LOL and it all goes down hill from there.. #1 first you need to find a doctor and good luck with that one LOL LOL.. soon as you say the word cannabis to most doctors they act like you are taking their first born..So you can just hang in the wind for all anyone cares as far as Health Canada/Gov./Dr.'s/Cops are concerned. As far as the ppl that do have doctors that give them cannabis many of them have signed papers saying they won't tell others and some just don't want to tell you as they say I have my doc why should I help others?Then there is the fact that the doctors think they will sued for cannabis and College of Phys and Surg. put out a paper telling them they are all on their own if anything happens. Even though no one has ever sued a doc for cannabis use EVER. Health Canada SUCKS!! end of story they sat on their hands while the reasearch came in over and over about cannabis and they did nothing. They should be revamped and takin out of this game and the doctors need to be taken down many many pegs aswell!!!!!! peace out Headband707

The College Of Phys and Surg. of Canada DO NOT support cannabis in any way shape or form even though the American College does ????? so explain that one to me??
So who exactly is paying the bills here do YOU think?? LOL LOL I would bet it's the DRUG COMPANIES!!!! LOL

been waiting 6 mos now on my application , cat 1 chronic severe pain patient. HC doesnt give a shit about us.

Do you have another diagnosis, because Chronic Pain is not a cat 1 condition

If you're in that area and serious, shoot Dr Dog pm, not sure how often he logs in these days as he's pretty busy, but he's there and doing it. Perhaps he'd be willing to write an article and post it up, as it would prob get too time consuming to respond in pm with all the details to everyone if too many contacted him.

WRONG WRONG WRONG lol sorry but CHRONIC pain is #1 on the list of Catagory #1

If you have severe Chronic pain and you take meds even if you don't but if you do then go to your GP you don't need to go to a specialist anymore and ask them for a note stating this. There is a website you can go to with the same name as the doctors oath that can help you out. I hope that helps peace out Headband707
