just got some in oakland and this is some VERY serious weed! Indeed. A solid body stone with a very different,introspective head. Not as cerebral like a good sativa( or perhaps just slower), but thought provoking and curiousity raising.

Took some witha pipe and three hits and your are out ,and now, thre hours later with the vaporizer, a tiny amount brings it right back to life!

the buds are TINY dark green and purplish and seem almost dry, until you notice thats the trichomes!!! very sticky.

anybody know the background? couldnt find it on any of the strain guides. Ice is there but which purple?

yes, a bit. the purple leafs look the same but the green part is MUCH darker,and the buds arent so compact.

i know what you mean -
when you break it up the whole grind is dark purple. that's how this stuff works.

Hey guys, I am very familiar with the oakland and berkeley clubs, especially the one on san pablo ave. Anyhow, I have seen the purple ice in before, about 3 months ago. I rarely buy weed from the clubs as the bubble hash is what I'm there for. So with that said, the purple ice goo (honey oil) was awesome!! I'm guessing that its about 60/40 indica/sativa. There were clones available for this strain, but I dont have much confidence in buying clones without much grow info. Anyhow guys, how can you stray from the trainwreck that flows through these clubs? I've fallen in love with that sweet skunk taste! Anyhow guys, hope you enjoy the bay as much as I do.

I now know I can never move out of the bay area. It is truly heaven here now. I think your guess of 60/40 indica/sativa is right on, as it has a pretty heavy stone to it, but also a great head.

the purple ice I have does look a bit broken up and mainly purplish hues. beautiful and so strong!

I'll have to try some trainwreck by itself, as I got an 1/8 of trainwreckXbigbud and it was just so-so. course at the time I was looking for mainly sativa and it seemed more of a heavy medicinal indica.

Just took some of Gold star pharmacy's Morningstar and dont think I've had a better sativa buzz. the plant is COVERED in sugary crystals, and the nugs are thick and stout.very intense but happy..almost all head.

in fact I had some gold star m-39 that was like the purple ice, a good blend of indica sativa and solid body and head locks. Gold star pharmacy rocks.

I wouldnt mind a bowl of that for my breakfast.

Grew something from clone, called Purple Ice in 2003.

It tasted caramelly, grew to huge xmas trees in a greenie. By the time of finishing, it was fully yellowed out. Buds were all purple through and through. The buzz was mild, but satisfying.

The smoke too, was mild on the throat, had a wonderful taste.

Does that match up...? The look of the bowl o' buds above (lovely they are) is similar to how mine turned out.

hey there... well this actual pheno of the Purple Ice came from seed that was pulled out of some Purple Ice "sativa" from a southern california dispensary nearly 3 years ago... the taste on her is very soft, with hints of blueberry and lavendar, woody, earthy, hard to pin point... but very exotic too and overall some very good medicine... this girl has a nice potency to her, especially for being a sativa. Would be good for people with depression I think... very uplifting, happy smoke, and is very creative and contemplative at the same time and doesn't leave you quiet in the corner...
