Well as the long title states i finally got breeding underway. My first cross was shear dumb luck with my last pack of Prophet.I popped my last 4 and ended up with 2, both of them leaning to the Bubba side.

The Father(aka Godfather) has a strong lemon smell and super vigor. Lots of long stems space for building nugs with few leaves. Grows super dense nugs on long buff arms. Also had visible trichome production near the stems and on the flowers. I used half his pollen now and will use the other half on a backcross after this seed run. He's already been chopped so no pics of him.

The Mother(aka Redneck Barbie) reminds me of the pics Lambs Bread had of his real Bubba leaning pheno.
Not gonna be super huge nugs, but will be dense. Also builds a lot of them along the center stem and maybe some from the lower longer nugs. Justy like the Godfather there is very few leaves in the long internode space. Has an intense coffee smell and dense branches to hold all the weight. I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do.
I gave her the name Redneck Barbie because she has an amazing structure and builds a ton of nugs for a Bubba pheno. I'll run a backcross after this seed run with the best Bubba pheno of the lot.

3k CMH plus HPS seems to be a great combo. I'v been getting great growth on great structure. The only plant that had weak stems was a super stretchy Planewreck male that i culled due to his weakness and small buds. Never had plants with this much vigor and initiate flowering so soon. The trainwreck male showed sex in 5 days.

Coming up next is Ultra Sonja 3 weeks at the most....

Can you tell a difference in the frost by the proximity to the CMH?

Sorry its taking me so long to get photos uploaded. I'm waiting on a new camera. The Redneck Barbie is seeded and is putting off some amazing kush flavors.

The difference i noticed in CMH is more of an increased vigor and density. Utilizing the HPS and CMH together gets you the benefits of both worlds, while removing some negatives.

The nice stretchy structure of HPS but with the increased branch size/thickness is my faovrite so far. Straight CMH was terrible for flowering since it had real short internodes that built way too much vegetation. This time around there is a lot less veg. probably from less internodes. I am expecting an increase in overall density this time around by using both bulbs.

Heres some new pics. First is some upgrades ive made since my last grow. First is a cool tube and riser to make the best of my Secret Jardin. You can see RedBarb on the side.


This is my new clonebox which i want to get rid of due to light leaks. The babies are looking weak because i hit them with their first foliar feeding of Dyna Gro proTekt and Ascophllum nodosum sea kelp. The nice thing about Pro TeKt is it helps build some thick stems. I've seen a noticeable difference using this product.



This is redneck barbie still early on (day 25). The smell coming from her is straight coffee/light citrus/hash. i tried taking pics of the seeded calyxs but im still getting used to this camera. The nice thing is i got two clones from her so i will be running her again. Also Barbie can hold up some weight! She has super thick SOLID stems and some decent resin for how early this is..


Going in another week is some Ultra Sonja. Than after i will pop all my Mob Boss to start a similar breeding project to this one. BXing to the father after the intial seed run.

I also plan to start a C99 project using bubba as the mother and the black as a mother.

I'm Sorry i cant update with pics. This no camera thing kinda sucks. I wont have that camera back for another month. I know this is a crappy show but thanks for stopping by.

However just for an update i've found this Bubba momma to be EXTREMELY picky to nutes. Not to mention a mistake on my part since one of my Blumt Jr's got clogged and stopped pulling water.
She lost some leaves but its whatever, life goes on. As long as i get some seeds in the end i'm good. The only sucky thing about this girl is she grows so slow and the buds are tiny. I'm still real early in but i can tell this is the kush pheno i've been looking for.

Also i was lucky enough to get my only 2 Ultra Sonja remaining are female. One sativa dom one indica dom. The sat dom looks like the one that most people consider the keeper due to its leaf curl and branching. I have 2 clones of each pheno. These plants smell reall good for shooting out their first flowers. This will be a test of my Carbon scrubber.

I gotta admit my first attempts at breeding have been all good luck so i have something on my side....

Finlly i got around to taking some pictures. The bubba is at 5 weeks and the Ultra Sonjas are at 2.5


The Ultra Sonja is quickly becoming my favorite. The sativa pheno is one sexy bitch, intend to keep her around. To me she looks distinctly Cheesey with the leaf curl going on. She has the nicest structure out of the plants i'm growing, she will be a yielder for sure..


The indica pheno is looks to be a lot quicker of a gal and is already making nice nugs. Her smell is much fruitier than the other pheno which is starting to build on some rankness.


Lastly is my Prophet gal with her super sexy coffee and hash aromas. Tiny nugs though, starting to put on some resin. Some of the buds had died when i hadn't been home for a couple days and missed watering her. She's still a nice looker regardless of the small yield she's gonna put out. Hopefully the male i hit her with can increase that in my future backcross with her youngins.

Well today is a new day and finally my room is cooler, since i fixed some venting issues. Instead of having the vents separate once their out out my tent i linked them together. I also have to install rigid 90* bend which should help some.

I had to break the Bubbas neck just so i could utilize these lights. Shes really becoming a sexy girl. I take back what i said about yielding small, i think she'll make em dense by 70-75 days. Most of the nugs i pollinate dearly ended up dying with some barely grey seeds. I'm hoping they pop even though i only got two so far... Buds getting crystally at a fast pace.



The cheesey ultra Sonja is my favorite she is just so sexy and has a classic appearance.


And the indica girl isn't too bad either....

looks real good big ballin!! what is your opinion on that 3000k CMH versus the old 4000k you used?

i didnt know you could supercrop that far into flower. have you ran into any problems doing it this late?

I noticied less vegetation and thicker stems switching to the 3k bulb from the 4k. Also the structure is looking much nicer. Probably a combo of the HPS and CMH though. The 4k should only, be used for vegging. I think the CRI is too high, 92 i believe. The 3k is closer to the spectrum of the 4k HPS Retrowhite, CRI is 85. The nice thing about the CMH is quicker transitions from veg to flower and sexxing.

I've always supercropped until about 6 weeks as long as you take it easy. Branches recover quick if their fresh growth mostlyy less than a day. A thick, hollow stem like this will take like 2 days or less. Than again she was easy and flexible, like some girls i know.
