pink kush?
I am looking for info on the local pink kush cut going around the lower mainland.
How does she grow in a hydro setup. Does she have a slow veg like purple kush? Is the local cut reefermans pink kush? Same cut going around or tons of phenos? Any insight is much appreciated. |

It vegs faster than the purple kush and stretches more .. I have only seen one pheno of it going around and it's all over the Island. I got some pics if that would help. It usually get's passed as purple kush..
Reef claims to have originated it but who knows... |

I havent grown it, but smoked lots and made lots of bubble from it. Personally I wouldnt waste my time on it if potency is important. It has a very very mild high to it, although the taste is incredible when done right. Dont know which cut is local to you, but the original one is supposedly a sister to the King cut from back in the 80's. Its a high yielder when grown right, and will yellow out when rootbound. The only grower who I have seen keep the leaves from yellowing had them in beds.

Yup .. just makes me physically tired and burnt out, the tolerance build up is super fast with this one. I notice with almost all the kush strains I have tried the stone is extremely short lived ... maybe an hour or less. The yellowing out is very true as well.. even in hydro the plants have lot's of dead leaf at the end.

does anyone have a flower time with this strain? 10-11 weeks sound about right?
do the flowers themselves tend to show colours or does pink refer more to the pistills. on a side note im getting pink / reddish stems not sure if its some sort of deficiency or issue, they are healthy otherwise, does the pink in the name refer to the stem color as well? thx all |

You can take it at 9 weeks for the best taste, but 11 weeks gives it the best buzz, and it isnt that much different in taste then the 9 week, maybe abit less floral and abit more musky if i remember right. the pink comes from the pistils!!!!

Oh Man! We had this one years back, got the pack from RM seeds. Shit was outrageous! Great weed for sure! Have fun!
I'm not in your neck of the woods so I'm sorry I can't offer much advise on your cut. The phenos we had all were taken in the 75-77 day range, the structure was a lot like diesel. Pistils were super pink! Really cool looking weed! This was maybe 5 years ago? Trying to remember....kinda wish I still had this one! |

Yup the pink is the pistils .. a friend has a few of these I gave her on her porch that are still going .. moving them inside at night/rain. I will take a picture of one next time... I think 9 weeks is good for this one.
