In my much younger years a good friend and I used to hike into and fish the Desolation Wilderness just south of Tahoe frequently throughout the summer. He wasn't a smoker, so I had to be discreet, but I never felt so in touch and clear headed yet so small and insignificant sleepin under the stars up there. What a rough hike though!
