Refrence
To celebrate todays season opener of the NHL, "I went down to the local arena. I asked to see the manager man. He came from his office said,'Son can I help you?' I looked at him and said, 'Yes you can!' . . .

It's nice to know the man. Mine was a fire captain that moonlighted as arena security. I went to an Eric Clapton show, Slowhand in '76 or '77. The ticket was $6.50, festival seating. This captain dude sold my ticket and refunded my $6.50. First and last "festival seating" show I attended with folding chairs on the area floor.
Captain let his son and me enter 5 minutes before the gate opened. We sat front and center and I was no more than 4 feet from Clapton the entire show. Folks in the stands crashed the floor.... there were folding chairs to fight with! Fortunately for us, fights were back toward the sound mixer, lol. Joints on the front row, puff puff pass, non-stop. Those were the days.
