I cant see mj being the problem here. The parent that slept well the kid ran around the house is the problem.
He could have gotten into much worse and could have really been hurt. You cant just take a nap and let him wonder around the house. The other thing Im curious of is it says the Rice treat was in a cupboard now either the guy is totally brain dead and left it low enough for the kid to reach, or the kid climbed onto the counter to get into the cupboard. Which could have lead to serious injuries in itself. |

I saw the story on Nancy grace she is the one who claimed that the child almost died. No false info on my part. She is one of the worst she really believes cannabis is the devil's weed lol

Very bad situation, but WHAT THE FUCK! 10 YEARS..YEAH FUCK YOU! It sounds like the adults didn't know what the kid ate to make him act weird, cause if they knew he ate pot, i really don't think they would have taken him to the hospital.....all in all, its still weed, but I dont want my 2 year old to even smell it burning....But 10 years, thats complete bullshit! like someone else said above, what would happen to me if i took my kid to the hospital after drinking my some of my wine, or even bleach? Would I get 10 years,? Fuck no I wouldn't! And Neither should they!

Bad move going to the hospital
I fall asleep all the time, and my kids get into things they shouldn't. I would bet $ it happens to every parent at some point(s) in time. Easy to judge from afar, especially if you have no kids or your spouse is the one really doing the child rearing. My 2 coppers.

I would call BS too brother, it may sound cruel but knowing what I've learned about cannabis I'd let him wait it out at home and do the typical tough love parent thing and say "what did we learn?". Mostly this sounds like neglect/negligence to me. I know I was pretty fuckin' sneaky and mischievous as a kid but these so called parents should know way better than that. Not to mention I could go off on a kick about how child obesity is so bad that they should've taught the child strictly not to touch sweets/junk food til they got parents permission. I mean any number of parental techniques or what have you could have prevented this. Because of what I have learned about cannabis I really don't believe it could have harmed the kid. On the other hand it really concerns me if something this silly happens so easily then how are they to continue raising a child in a successful manner? Also my concern is for the kid I really hope it doesn't turn him off to cannabis of any idea of it mostly because it would be truely sad if such a person was truely traumatized by it and was left mentally/emotionally damaged because the parents didn't bother to put their "treats" somewhere inaccessible to the child.

As a parent, I/we never let the youngins runaround unsupervised, thank goodness he didn't get into the gun cabinet. I agree, everything should be put up. Thats why they make safety latches for cabinets and drawers. We even put a key lock on our bedroom door. Yeah, there were other reasons too but we wont go there. As in most areas of life to me, there are penalties if you cant keep your act together. Maybe the child should be sent to a foster home, I dunno. My opinion tho. The parents need to get their act together, one way or another, one reason or another.

Wow another person who doesn't have kids talking about raising kids. I recommend you have experience about something before you start talking out of your ass. |

4 kids and I have never fallen asleep well they roamed the house. When they where younger I would gate the bedroom and take a nap but that was a childsafe room and the had no way out. Nobody should take a nap well a 4 yr old wanders around. Edit: I dont think the parents should be jailed because of the MJ, But the kid needs better supervision at least child proof the house . |
