Strain: MK-Ultra, T.H. Seeds

Genetics: OG Kush/G-13

First of all, the MK Ultra that I tasted for the first time 2 years ago, has pretty much nothing to do with the one I've grown now for two runs, with 2 different mediums and nutes.
The MK I got from a friend, and then bought from a dealer at another point, was one of the best smokes I've ever tried. It had this wonderful citrus/piney with a bit of peppery taste, and on top of that a similar smell, and also extremely skunky. In fact I don't think I've tried anything that was so prominent and unique in smell except for Chocolope.

The effect was equally awesome, getting me HIGH everytime, even if I smoked it for days in a row, I got the same effect every time!
It started with a head buzz, that was surprisingly clear considering it's an indica dominant strain. It then slowly moved to become a more body-high, although it only felt like couch lock if I was already tired before smoking. I could otherwise easily play games, conversate, cook etc.

It's on my top 3 of smokes ever, though admittedly I've only been smoking quality bud for a couple of years so I’m no veteran.

Smell (10/10) right up there with Chocolope in intensity
Smoothness (7/10) A bit harsh on the exhale, but I compensated by taking smaller hits, so no problem for me.
Taste (10/10) tastes like it smells
High (9/10) awesome, long lasting, near perfect combo of cerebral and body high.


Now on to the MK that I grew ;P

I completely overgrew them the first time, 11 liter pots, regular plant soil mix, Bio Bizz nutes, and vegged for like 5 months, (crazy I know, but I had a good reason not to begin flowering at that point).
Flower took around 7 weeks, I was surprised how fast it finished.

Growth pattern was a bit like the White Russians I have now, with a decent amount of branches making small popcorn buds with rather big top colas.

Appearence (7/10)
Very nice looking plants, and the buds looked great once cured, the picture I upped is just from a small plant from a recent SOG, cured for 1 week now.

Smoothness (9/10)
Rather easy to smoke, unlike the 'real MK' you don't have to take small tokes at a time, it doesn't fill up the longs in the same way. Easy on the throat, inhale and exhale.

Smell 3/10
It has NOTHING to do with MK Ultra, I don't know if it's bad phenotypes or wtf, but this weed has no character, no special noticable smell, just dull grass.

Taste (5/10)
Not bad, not good, unintersting.

The effect 7/10
It definetily gets you high, no doubt about it, silly high too, where you're just goofing around at the dinner table, laughing at stupid things, so all around not really a bad effect, but not the one I was hoping for :P
It's not a smoke that really gets you on higher level if you continue smoking it (in joints), like i.e. the Chocolope I also grew, that could really fuck you up :p

Conclusion
This is definitely not MK Ultra, at least not the one that T.H. Seeds advertise about on their website nor the one I tasted in the past. Bad phenotypes? Perhaps, but the two seedlings I flowered (only 2 out of 5 became strong plants) had exact same grow patterns and ended with the same boring result in taste, smell, and high.

Lastly, does anyone know, where I can buy seeds that gives me the experience of ’real MK Ultra’?? There must be others who had disappointing results with this, or perhaps I was just very unlucky..
Should I get myself some OG Kush seeds instead?

Aight I have to retract some of my smoke report, or well modify it a little.
After curing MK Ultra for a week, I have to admit the smell improved x 100!!!
I guess I was a little quick to judge, considering that I did know some strains needs a little curring in order to show it's true character.

I originally gave it a pretty bad rating in smell. After thinking about it I will rate it like this:

Smell 7/10
It still has nothing to do with MK Ultra, but man after 1 week cure it suddenly became all fruity, and kinda reminds me of Fruity Juicy, a strain I smoked a while back, however the taste doesn't match the smell, so that's still a 5/10

I think next time I won't be so quick to judge. Every strain deserves a week of proper curring before judging. That's gonna be my approach from now on.

Sorry MK, you do not smell like dull grass, all you needed was a little maturity

Great report. Was thinking of growing some MK Ultra as I got a freebie from TH seeds but might not now as don't like to be silly high. Prefer a bit of stoned mixed in. Also i like a good smell and decent taste.

Great Report, i also grew TH MK Ulltra but i had to harvest them more then 2 weeks before their time.. for security reasons. the smoke was nice, ive had betters but again with this kind of harvest i didn't expecting much... thanks for the report.

ps- i also have some Chocolope beans i didn't poped yet, from your compression it should be the kind of sativa i love and looking for

nice report did u grow fem or reg beans how many plants m/f ratio if ya dont mynd me askin... my buddy been buggin me since i got 20 of these fukers he wants me to pop hopefully i find the old pheno ya was talkin bout outta the gurls that come up when they do get popped...

MK-Ultra is some potent smoke for sure! I tried some a few years back and was one of the tastiest herbs I've tried. You can tell OG Kush is in the genes just from flavor alone. The pheno I tried has a lemony lime taste with a heavy narcotic stone, definetly some nighttime lay you out smoke. I did a report on her awhile back but didn't have no pics. Anyways nice report!

The local MK Ultra around these parts is strong and very sedating. It tastes mostly like a fruity skunk. Definitely very indica leaning. The people I know who appreciate indicas really seemed to like it although it's certainly not my cup of tea. Good for insomnia and ok for pain.

still kicking my in the nuts about "NOT" making a mother plant from the chocolope cuts i got back in the days...... one of the stupidest things i´we ever done!!!! What a herb!!!!

Bummer that you didnt get the MK that you wanted bro..... but that´s what we get when growing from seed!! But hey.... sometimes we´ll find gems right?

I bought a few batches of mk ultra some years back it was a creamy tasting kush iirc. Very creamy, decent stuff.
