Outdoor penalties?

What would penalties look like in colorado for growing outdoors, say in the woods, if you are a registered medical marijuana card holder?

I'm honestly curious about this.

Not sure, don't think theres any cases that have covered this that I'm aware of. Get a greenhouse and try to argue that it is indoors? thats the direction I would go but I would guess if you grow a plant or few on your property out of public view it should be OK but supposedly any outdoor is still illegal.

Get a greenhouse and buy the white plastic that doesn't let thermal cameras see through, and you should be fine. Stick some silk flowers in the pots with your buds so that people can see the flower silhoette on the outside.

Lots of problems that way though..

I'm not sure how CO works but in SD you can grow outside in a secure greenhouse. Is this the case in CO or is it just indoors? If it's similar to SD, you would have to look at court rulings to see what they have established as secure.

In regards to growing on land that isn't yours, stay away from federal lands like the above poster said. Don't want to get them involved...

Not sure about colo...maine law say the plants need to be grown in a locked secure area, quite specific...maybe barbed wire and germansherds or go with the greenhouse and a secuiety system.

Ya same in SD emerald. It's a good idea to have a secure grow when outdoors anyways to help prevent rippers and LEO from snooping/getting probable cause by the "plain sight rule". If you have a fence + a secure grow they can't use the plain sight rule because it's clear that you intended for privacy and thus they would need a warrant. No fence + open plants then they can still walk on your property and peak as long as they don't go inside/somewhere where privacy was clearly intended.
