Chem Wreck Kush

Morning all

First of I'd like to thank ojd & True for the chance to test these spanking new funk strains

I don't have much space to grow in, so will be doing one strain at a time.

First up is the Chemwreckkush. I must have had a heat or soil/jiffy problem in the first days of germing, as I didn't have much luck. Out of the 10 seeds soaked, I only got 4 to germ, 2 of those gave up in the 1st couple of days leaving me with 2 to work with. I in no way put this down to the seeds, but to my conditions at that time.

They veged under a 250w cfl for around 4 weeks, then switched to 600w hps around 3 weeks ago. I think my problem comes from the soil as they developed totally different and not like my plants I have in different soil. One looks like it only germed a week ago or so, the other looks a bit better.

Pics tonight, they're sleeping at the mo.

Morning everyone

Thanks for looking in on me!

Now, as it happens the missus took our cam with her this morning, which kind of messes up my foto taking plans. I just took a couple of snaps with my mobile to at least be able to give this thread some colour.

So here we go:

You can see the problems I'm having here. Both plants are the same age, one never really took off. Again, I put that entierly down to the environment or me having done something wrong, not the seeds. I think the problem was the soil I put them in, can't verify that though.

The one plant is great, real sturdy and branchy, and really took off after topping 3 days ago. Unfortunately he just turned out to be male, so I cut all but one branch off, which should leave me with enough pollen to at least make a cross with my Mango Haze.

I'm hoping on the runt pulling through, thingers crossed

Hey Aex,
How are you? I had the same problem with 3 of my OGChem seedlings. They were real runts. (1 turned out a male, 1 died, and 1 is ok, but very small- see my thread)
I recommend to repot your runt into a new bigger container with new soil, and dont over water it. It should come right.
I hope that your other plants in your grow are doing ok.

Do please drop into my thread. As I am about to/have updated it and all is looking beautiful.

Hello Sir

Nice of you to pop in! Just seen your update, those ladys look great! Bet you're pleased with the outcome so far.

I'm starting to think that the jiffys are the cause of the problem. I got those jiffys at the beginning of the year for germin vegetable seeds, and had really bad results aswell. Now I've never germed vegi seeds before so didn't know what to expect, but having the same probs now with canna seeds makes me wonder.

Anyways, can't change it now, just bugs me not to have a real answer to that.

Morning all

So, time for a little update.

The little one's coming along nicely:

The male was moved into the bathroom for quarantine. Will collect some pollen and dust some Mango Haze. Think that could be an interesting cross

Take care

Morning everyone

Took some pics beginning of the week I didn't get around to uploading yet. The one lady I got is developing fine. Had a misshap with my lamp on sunday, got a little too close over one night, so we have some top damage, but otherwise doing well.

This is around day 25-30ish. I don't feed a lot so bottom leaves are yellowing a bit. Overall I think she's coming along nicely though. She has a funky smell to her allready, I'm curious as to how that develops.

Cheers for looking
