Ginseng Anyone???

Has anyone ever looked for wild ginseng or have grown any? I have and ive done it successfullyits one of the most interesting plant ive deal with these ilttle plants are a recluse they hide in the strangest places and some time you can got the spot one time and very few go there again and they are every where these plants only grow in old growth forest and it is very hard to find! the spots i know are tiny compared to the woods that surronds them so if you are a ginseng hunter take care all

yea it works but not a super stimulant thats for sure!!!fresh it tastes bitter kinda chemmy! the plant dies off every year and the root can get over 100 years old they grow kinda like a carrot!!the older they are they get kinda of a human shape to them arms, legs!!!i found one one time and when i sold it the guy told me it was 90 years old and was only about 10 inches long!!you can tell how old they are by the spot where the actual plant meets the root!!!!!!!

i used to dig ginseng years ago, $200 a pound for the dried root back then
likely gone up since then i'm sure
it is quite the plant, and i can be cultivated under artificial shade
natural is much more valuable than the cultivated, may have to check out the old patches again sometime

I have bought Ginseng seeds from the states 3 times now, and non have ever germinated, considering i have had three lots, im assuming its me thats not doing it right.

How do you germinate the seed? Or do you grow from cuttings divisions etc?
